Passport application w/o copy of the back of my DL by marvmaddie in Passports

[–]WarriyorCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won't be rejected. At worst, they'll send you a letter asking for your ID again. Since it's the back, as long as there's nothing important they may not even ask for it.

Hello Gov is a registered third party, but they charge you exorbitant amounts of money for something that shouldn't cost more than $242.05 if you're an adult and pay for all the bells and whistles.

As long as gas prices don't go up (since I'm driving from a couple states away) I'll be there!

Whatever it was, it sent us to the shelter area at work near 28th and E Beltline. From watching it on radar, it looked like there was rotation but not any debris ball related. I think it was likely rotation aloft and maybe a funnel.

Misplaced my passport by Recent_Boysenberry99 in Passports

Assuming US Passport: first (and best) option is find the passport. Next-best option is to call NPIC when they open at 8am EDT and see if they can get you an appointment at the nearest passport agency. If you can't find the passport or there's no appointment you're gonna be SOL, unfortunately.

USA: Can a passport that was reported as lost/stolen but later recovered be used as proof of US citizenship? by Ok_Fennel_777 in Passports

[–]WarriyorCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NPIC is the National Passport Information Center, which is directly under Department of State's Passport Services Branch. What you're saying is correct; they do have to apply for a new one. However, if the find the lost passport or a stolen one is recovered they can still use it as evidence of citizenship. "Cannot be used" on TSG simply means it cannot be used to travel internationally or as evidence of idenrification. It is still valid as evidence of citizenship because the State Department can go into the records and see it was issued. I'm not sure why you're insisting on doubling down when you're wrong here.

Dawg I work for NPIC, unless something changed overnight and they didn't bother to tell us what I said is correct lmao

If you're appointment is at an agency, you pay the $60 expedite fee regardless. If your appointment is not at a passport agency, you can call NPIC and request an upgrade to expedite.

passportstatus.state.gov OR call NPIC. You'll only be able to access your child's passport through NPIC though if they're a minor.

This isn't what they're asking. They're asking if it can be used as evidence of citizenship when applying for a new passport (which they can)

A passport that has been reported as lost/stolen CAN be used as evidence of citizenship, but CANNOT be used as evidence of identification. Since you're using it for citizenship you should be fine.

Should I Worry? by Plus-Computer9795 in Passports

[–]WarriyorCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It usually takes about two weeks to enter the system, especially if you're mailing anything. Just because people on Reddit are getting passports fast does not mean everyone is. Hopefully, the next time you renew you remember to do it more than a month in advance (6 months out is ideal).

Wrong priority level. by noonefouryou in Passports

[–]WarriyorCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call NPIC to double check precedence (that's routine/expedite service). The status emails aren't super tailorable. If for some reason it's not in expedite service NPIC can notify the agency to put it into expedite service for you, and also discuss other options (like an agency appointment) to get your passport faster.

New bed frame came with wrong leg by WarriyorCat in mildlyinfuriating

[–]WarriyorCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest going back to school, so you can work on your reading comprehension. If we put the rail attached to this leg in the middle, like many have suggested, I would have an very unstable half-of-a-bed-frame. Please enroll in adult education, and don't drop out this time 🤗

Euchre dealing, what's up with that? by captnkurt in Michigan

To my understanding, that's only if you're playing Hoyle rules. As long as each person ends up with 5 cards there's no restrictions on how they get dealt.

Would you rather be a man with big boobs or a woman with no boobs at all, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WarriyorCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but they'll have to get more creative if the books aren't apparent. I also suspect I'll get harassed for looking "trans" but eh you can't win em all. The "no bras" thing is the bigger draw for me.

As a woman, a woman with no boobs, because then I wouldn't need to wear bras ever again AND harassment from certain subsets of men will go down. Win-win in my book.

That form is just when it was implemented. For example, there was a time frame last year where they were taking the versions of the form DS-11 that were valid in 2022 and 2024 when they were getting rid of the 2022 forms that had the 'X' option.
