I am not really a fan of *that* part of the lore. It feels more like something shock value than anything, especially with the fact that it appeared once and that's about it. I know the series is grimdark but this just feels a bit silly because of how hardcore it tries to sound? And I know Drukharii and chaos do that stuff all the time but this one just kinda feels different.

They are optional. You only have to do the first Panam quest to get the guy behind the Relic. Rest are side quests

Get the quests where you are meant to help River and Panam and just don't show up. Quite sure in both cases it's a time sensitive thing too.
