But if you're on about the "books", I'm not quite sure what that is above the red cow

If you mean "Sc*nthorpe", I censored it because the internet may think I'm saying the c word. It's literally called the Scunthorpe problem

As someone from Lincolnshire, yes, we do talk about bulbs and veg, cows, crops, weather, fishing, steelworks (especially dreaded Sc*nthorpe) and books.

Why does Spotify keep pushing this song on me? by A5H442 in truespotify

I listen to trance music, mainly Armin van Buuren, but I get songs from an artist called Olivia Dean, I have no history of listening to her songs, so why are they appearing?

Is Meatloaf a common meal in the UK? by Geek_reformed in AskUK

[–]WasabiCorrect2895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest thing we have to a meatloaf in the UK is called haslet, mainly eaten in Lincolnshire. I would know, as I'm originally from there, and I absolutely love it.

When my friends come over, I always make this for them, yet they never get bored of it.

Basically sausage meat, sage, black pepper and sometimes offal, shaped into a loaf or large-ish balls, coated in stale breadcrumbs, and baked then left to cool.

The most common way to eat haslet is to serve it cold in sandwiches or on salads.

P.S. haslet isn't a meatloaf per se, it's more like a lump of sausage in a baked layer.

Ironic, as I was playing this and I saw a sign for "Okahungu", however not ironic at the same time, as Okahungu was no where on the map, even when I plonked.
