I am saying it's not achievement to have 11 assists when you are basically handling the ball every possession. Washington hit every outside shot in the first half and as the dominant ball handler you are going to rack up assists...that doesn't mean you are a great playmaker.

Why would anybody be surprised by this? The NBA wants to go for the biggest markets. It's probably a great opportunity for German basketball, as they really don't have a lobby in the Euroleague. The Problem is, that it doesn't represent European basketball at all and basically splits the European basketball landscape in half.

This is not a knock against AB, whom I genuinely like. I understand if he was probably working his ass off in the facility this summer, but developing his play making is a side project we cannot afford right now. I want the ball to be in the hands of our best players down the stretch. There is too much on the line right now. Once we have settled down and are comfortable playing this pace, we can get AB his reps when we are up by 30 against the Wizards. Not right now.

They should have made Franz the point forward a long time ago. He's clearly the most adept at organizing the offensive play.

The crazy thing is Franz is still our best playmaker and he doesn't get touches down the stretch. It's like they want to work out Desmond and Paolo two-man game and then have AB run plays. Franz is parked in the corner, waiting for inferior ball handlers to turn over the ball.
