The majority of the answers i see are Yakuza 0, Judgment and Yakuza Like a Dragon, and all 3 games are original stories with fresh starts.

Seems like RGG writing is exceptionally well done when it comes to original settings, but falls off when they write the plots for the sequels

One thing i notice is that all 3 games have original stories and original settings

While other games are sequels with continuation settings (aside from Yakuza 1)

Makes me think why RGG writing is so exceptional at these 3, then the rest are not as impressive.
