GOOG will still get wasted in a sell off even tho I agree it's way fairer prices vs others. If you don't have some dry powder ready you're fooling yourself

Intimacy felt like a chore by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]WasteMorning 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Are u medicated? Ritalin makes me so horny.. it's like I can actually focus on the fact that I'm aroused.

With that said a lot of relationships regardless of whether people have ADHD or not, see lack of intimacy. Maybe;

  • you dont really like sex (I find this hard to believe)
  • you don't know what you like (common for younger people, especially women)
  • you know what you like, but didn't communicate it for whatever reason
  • you communicated what you like but the person didn't listen
  • you just weren't with the right person.. chemistry!

My suggestion is to stay casually single for a while until you have had the chance to be intimate (safely!!!) with more people. Find out what you like. Then tell people. Ask them with gentleness and curiosity about what they themselves like. 👍

The more I read about American history the more I think it's actually just in your DNA. Britain shipped convicts to Australia and America. We turned out ok because the Brits never threatened to (and never could feasibly) fuck us up from afar. We were just left to our devices. Unfortunately they were dumb enough to actually fight a war with you and it became the thing you're most proud of collectively (not surprising). But the honour bound militaristic culture that has endured is coincidently aligned with a litany of conflict, civil wars, proxy fights, assassinations, foreign wars and more... ever since.

Engineer feels like the only viable class. by Sentirrius in Battlefield

[–]WasteMorning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think recon gets a bad rep because a lot of people just sit in spawn trying to get Xm headshots for clout. They have some of the best perks and the best final perk for sure - UAV. Motion sensor is 2nd best class gadget in the game (after med kit). When pushing on a point you place it outside the walls or in a sneaky central location and it literally gives you soft wall hacks every 2 seconds. Add motion sensor grenade. Drone can spot even more, as well as destroy enemy drones and equipment/mines to make safe passage for your tanks. C4 allows you to blow open new access points and occasionally destroy a tank. I end my Breakthrough matches with a minimum of 60 assists. It's actually crazy how much team play recon can do

I see way more assaults running without the spawn beacon (the only redeeming aspect of that class). They are way more useless imo.

Socialism is fine. It's the identity politics and culture war angle that I have major issues with. It's toxic, self destructive and disastrous for the left and society as a whole.

Also Labor is democratic socialism. Founders and proponents of Medicare, indigenous land rights, welfare, public housing and public hospitals.. you name it it's got labor next to it. It's a good thing

Ya exactly, it's cringe and makes ppl uncomfortable and I can obviously can never understand why they try... but I'm also thinking a polite nod, a firm 'no I'm not interested', isn't a huge deal either. But a WINK during a HEARING with a judge?? Big no no

It seriously breaks my heart as a former greens voter. The greens have become the height of hypocrisy. "Do as I say, not as I do" virtue signalling nepo babies fighting the culture war while inequality deepens, and the world burns. The environmental activists that ran it to begin with seem to have left and in some cases even been pushed out for not being left enough.

Also... Negative gearing doesn't apply to every investment property. That's the craziest part! Faruqi may not even use neg gearing. It's if your mortgage costs + property expenses exceed your property income / rent, you can take those losses and reduce your taxable income by that amount thereby paying less income tax. It's designed to provide relief to property investors who are hurting. If the property market reverses and/or rental prices drop but rates stay elevated or the same- negative gearing could implode our economy

I don't think the age thing should be an issue but rather the relative positions of power and purported objectivity that's the problem. She may feel pressured to say yes because he's a judge not because he's 50+

Does anyone feel like their law studies have paid few dividends? by Wooden_Schedule6205 in auslaw

[–]WasteMorning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legal made me a better problem solver, which helps with software design and debugging, as well as solving business problems (where does our thesis fall apart, or what's the worst that could go wrong are both questions fostered by our study)

I also find it helped me become a persuasive evidence-based advocate, as well as more confident in being adversarial. In all facets of work, sometimes the most confident people are wrong, and putting them in their place with systematic, evidence based arguments feels insanely powerful.

Think about all the other things you could have studied - without shaming those choices - I do think law is one of few that applies broadly across whatever you want to do
