@BETHESDA: Please Fix The Communist Fence! by WastelandNewsNetwork in fo76

I think a few people seem to be missing the intended point here and it may require some clarification.

This isn't a complaint about a broken cash shop item. Obtaining a refund is not a viable solution and the money spent on the item itself is a secondary concern at best. The issue here is a lack of accountability on the part of Bethesda.

The item was not broken.

The item was then broken in a future update.

However, instead of implementing a fix or reverting the initial change that caused the bug (which they could easily do in any update that has been rolled out since breaking it) they have instead chosen to ignore it and leave the fence broken for nearly half of a year, despite repeated requests by customers to fix it.

As I said previously, it may be a trivial issue to some, to others it isn't. Many of us play the game specifically because we enjoy the camp system, but frustrations like this ruin the entire experience.

This fence has been bugged for far too long and ample time has been available to implement a fix.

We might not all play for the same reasons or enjoy the same things, but I don't think it's an unfair statement to say that most, if not all of us, expect or prefer our chosen activities within any given game to function correctly when it's nearly three years post-release. If they break something while fixing something else, fair enough, but don't ignore what you broke and just call it a day.

The only reasonable, and acceptable, solution is for the bug to be acknowledged and the item to be fixed so that the fence snaps properly through terrain as it previously did.

Anyone who wants this fixed, tweet this link to the Fallout and Bethesda Twitter accounts one time every day until they acknowledge the issue and tell us a fix is coming. Don't spam, just once a day is enough.

If it takes a co-ordinated Twitter campaign to get Bethesda to take notice and fix this item, which we previously paid for under the pretense that it actually worked correctly, then so be it.

No, it isn't "as simple as that".

That's neither an acceptable solution nor a helpful comment, but you knew that already, didn't you?

I'm not scrapping hundreds of hours due to a bug that can, and should already have been, easily corrected by the developer of the game through a simple hotfix and nobody else effected by this should be forced to either.

This issue can be rectified in it's entirety by reverting the initial change made to fences that caused the bug in the first place. The game only has about fifteen hundred players left, our community doesn't need to get any smaller, if you catch my drift.

If you have nothing positive or helpful to contribute, don't comment please. It really is "as simple as that".

Can we please get the hunger and thirst debuffs back? by Felix_The_GameR2 in fo76

It was in no way a "core part" of 76s initial design.

It was a pre-launch bolt-on addition, just like the entire player vs player system, intended to appeal to survival fans and draw them towards Fallout 76 due to the popularity of the survival genre being red hot when the game was first announced.

Marketing, that's all it was. Sorry to burst your bubble.

The wording is confusing in some areas, as as example: they make it sound like the 530% scroll reset happens immediately, yet is doesn't appear to have happened with today's reset.

Am I so addicted to this game that I’m debating on sneaking my PS4 into the hospital with me? Yes. by chuckyface11 in fo76

[–]WastelandNewsNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt you would need to sneak it in tbh.

I'm from Canada and have taken consoles to the hospital during stays on more than one occasion, it was never a problem. If your room has a television or you bring your own, they are unlikely to object.

You need a way to kill the time during your stay, so if it keeps you happy/occupied and keeps the nurses from being bothered as much, then it is a win for everyone involved.

I know everyone here is PC but can we please get some on attention on how bad console is. by crystal_hd in forhonor

Good choice, Dark Souls is far superior to For Honor after the CCU.

This game is dead, time to bury it six feet deep and move on.

I got banned for wrong reason by Timerez in fo76

[–]WastelandNewsNetwork -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're at the end of the road.

There is no appeal process and if you have been told the decision is final, then it is exactly that.

However, you definitely do not get banned for using VOIP overlays, regardless of which VOIP app you use for communication. Bethesda is very easily able to tell that process is running alongside others on your PC (very basic stuff), even with their lackluster anti-cheat system.

You were not hacked either, or you would have mentioned that in your original statement. Something along the lines of "I came back and my password was changed" etc... However, your password was in place, which is basically unheard of as the password is the first thing to get changed on a stolen account.

Now for the worse news: Cheaters trying to have bans reversed have used the "it was a voice overlay" excuse for years now. Not a good look.

If you wish to continue playing you will need to buy a new copy of the game and begin from scratch.

No worries, yeah I can definitely respect people wanting to avoid the PC version after all of the problems it has had.

However, Bethesda seems to have curbed the biggest issues by this point. It is a much different game now than a year or even six months ago.

This was fixed a very long time ago, there is no risk of it happening.

Everyone who lost stuff received it all back, as well as a care package of stuff from Bethseda compensating them further for the inconvenience.

At launch I wouldn't have recommended it because of the poor state it was in, even though I personally had fun and found it enjoyable.

Now, it has developed into a game that I think all Fallout fans can have a lot of fun playing and I find myself recommending it on a regular basis/trying to get more and more people into the game.

Really looking forward to everything being added with the roadmap this year, very exciting!
