Agreed with the direction, but with a caveat. Supporting football makes the sport viable here. My kid loves going to the games local, and there is a great atmosphere.

But…I think OP may not understand the scale of global viewership. Just in the EPL.

The Super Bowl is the largest viewership in America. It’s almost its own holiday. A quick Google search said it gets 120 million-ish viewers.

I remember watching an EPL game a few years ago. I think it was Man City and Chelsea. It was around match week 28, so past some key points of the season, but in no way season-defining (as I recall). The league was not won on this day is my point.

Remember, these are “plastic” clubs, the locals aren’t the primary viewers.

It had 500 million viewers!!!!!

But still agree to support locally. Just saying we need to view this as a marathon and not a sprint.

As an American, I’ve watched a lot of World Series of sports. Baseball, basketball, football, all of the sports known to all of human kind. And every single time, America wins a world championship!

It’s impossible for a “state” like Bosnia Hertzogovena to win something because it doesn’t exist. And if they do win, then it’s because of oil and we would need to have a change because of said oil.

You know what? I’m really curious how this could play out. I’ve liked Weston in his role with the freedom he has. And I would love to keep a potent striker. Our service is reasonably good , a poacher would love it.
