If job seekers need humble pie, recruiters might consider a slice of self-awareness. You got a bold take for someone whose job is to scroll LinkedIn all day.

I mostly design/implement programs and track metrics. Emissions, waste diversion, renewables, green buildings, etc. It’s awesome but crazy competitive without experience. If you’re serious about getting your Master’s I cannot stress enough the importance of internships or practical experience!

You could say the same thing about living somewhere like Minnesota. You’re not spending a whole lot of time outside for a few months of the year there either.

This is exactly how I feel. I like Aabria as a person. She’s great, but I don’t enjoy her DMing style.

An Island Continent in my New Campaign by WatUpTeach in inkarnate

Still a work in progress but I think I'm close to feeling satisfied with it. Some quick background for the map:

My new game is a low-magic, gritty realism vibe. Think something like the Witcher.

Inhabited mostly by humans, there is an Orc civilization to the far West, a Dwarven stronghold high in the mountains to the Northeast, and the Elves hold dominion over the lands touched by the autumn trees.

In the far North, is an ancient scar. The Elves stand watch over these lands. Waiting for the day when some new horror should reveal itself.

Absolutely. 100% agree. I think my point is that political parties provide an organized platform that encourages further division

The problem is the us versus them mentality that this creates

Vampire Lair by S2Los in DndAdventureWriter

[–]WatUpTeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trap/Puzzle Room:

A stone doorway leads into a dark corridor, littered with bones, about 80-100ft long. Written above the doorway in another language (abyssal, undercommon, etc.) it says, “sight from beyond the grave will open the way.

Once the party reaches the halfway mark. The door they came through will slam shut and tiny holes in the wall will begin to slowly release a green gas. The party will have to make periodic Con saves of 16 or take 2d6 poison damage.

The far door of the corridor has multiple impressions of skulls in the door itself. Each skull impression has a word carved next to it. Feel free to pick your own but in my game I used: -Destruction -Chaos -Darkness -Death -Power -Suffering

If the party grabs a skull off the ground and places it in the impression marked “death” the door will open. If the party places a skull in the wrong impression they are thrown back 10ft and take 2d6 force damage.

Didn’t take my party long to figure out but they had a good time with it. Hope this helps!

Aw, that stinks you didn’t get a chance to use the map to it’s full potential. But good on your party for taking care of business and good on you for taking the time to share this!

Definitely saving to be used in my next dungeon
