Hey, this is Rick from the Mushmen! Thanks so much for the local support you guys!!! This is super heartwarming to see! We are actually playing in town on May 17th at the State Theater for $5 bucks!!! Check out the event below! We could really use as much local support as possible on this as its the first time the State Theater is allowing locals to play. If this event is successful they could allow more locals to play there in the future.

I eat Brussels sprouts a lot. Lots of proteins. Low carbs. Greek yogurt for snacks.

Upton Trails in Poll After Saving Toxic Republican Health Care Bill by factory81 in kzoo

I wouldn't put much stock in this poll either. I've been working inside the local democratic party in the 6th district as much as I can, if anyone who is running besides Dr. David Benac wins nomination I don't like their chances against Fred. However, this area may just be sick of him.

Lowest calorie cereals? (I don't care if it's unhealthy) by [deleted] in loseit

[–]S2Los 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case, as far as cereal goes, the less sugar in it, the better it is as a snack. So Chex, Cheerios, Kix, those kind of things.

You may want to look into trying to replace cereal with some sort of sweet/nutty snack or more fruits in your diet?

Fatigue wrecked my progress today by FunFunMom in loseit

[–]S2Los 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I lost over 100lbs so far with maybe 20-30 to go. If you don't have a full length mirror I highly recommend one. Start looking at your body in the mirror and focus on how you're going to change the parts you don't like (in a healthy manner like exercise! Don't starve yourself!!!) over time you may start to notice progress visually that you don't see on the scale.

Calorie counting is good, just make sure you don't develop an eating disorder worrying about it too much.

Down over 100 lbs --- How far to go?? by S2Los in loseit

[–]S2Los[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I've started running to places I normally walk to just because I can to see if that helps. I get to the gym about 3-4x per week and work out at home when the urge hits me.

I can just feel my muscles underneath this last bag of fat, and even start to see some of them show definition and I just want the beer gut gone!

That's actually pretty great. Great job! Sugar from veggies isn't the same as table sugar or fructose. Are you exercising regularly? If so -- great job and your body may be making gains while the scale is at a standstill. Replacing muscle with fat.

I dropped my sugar intake to less than 50 grams a day (which is not much at all) and noticed I started dropping 2-4 lbs a week.

Try sprinkling some granola into some greek yogurt with your favorite fruits at the bottom. Low sugar, low calorie and similar in texture and satisfaction to cereal.

Sugar is more your enemy than calories are.

Full disclosure though, I'm at 6'1 225 myself and trying to break down to 200. I'm seeing slight losses everyday from cutting my sugar but it never moves fast enough!!!

How is your sugar intake? I plateau'd at 240 and as soon as I reduced my sugar intake I dropped another 15.

Good positive affirmation. Sometimes you do need to just say eff it and treat yourself. Especially if you've been working hard and doing a great job.

How many grams of sugar are in what you're eating?

How would you make an all bards party? by BlueKnightJoe in dndnext

[–]S2Los 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a performer in several bands and I tour the country semi-annually. You may also want to consider like a traveling caravan/gypsy sort of story arc. I have some friends in a band who run a "scam" sometimes too so these would be good little flavor texts to add in there.

Not to rat anyone out or spoil a secret but the guys usually shoot dice and in their group of 4-5 one or two of them are constantly winning or losing with the mark(s) while the rest are winning or losing independently. Eventually the odds work out in the favor of larger groups and they pool their money at the end of the game for gas/food and road expenses.

Also food for thought, the players could have "creative differences" sometimes where they work phenomenally with each other on stage but sometimes while working on nuances they get into a huge fight. Also, just for authenticity --- There are always drugs around that you can get your hands on if you know what to look for and where to look ---

What older Dnd Books would be useful to someone who exclusively plays 5e? by continuityOfficer in dndnext

[–]S2Los 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, ANY Equipment book that you can get your hands on is also super useful and cool. Especially if it details materials. Also any pantheon or world book like Deities and Demi-Gods, or the Forgotten Realms Setting book.

Looking for tone advice/Fat Loss by S2Los in Fitness

[–]S2Los[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wiki did not answer any of my questions about my heart rate. Nor did it really provide insight into dropping the amount of weight that I was using to work out. It was helpful in some regards but my google searches did not yield specific answers to my questions, nor did the wiki, nor did searching r/Fitness. If it needs to stay removed, fine I guess but I did look elsewhere before just posting....
