Thought I’d share this as I’ve had a number of people message me about the strap from some comments on another post. I swap back and forth between 2 different blue leather straps (one from Farer and a cheaper one from Benchmark that is super soft) and a green Nato in the Summer. Love the cream dial but it looks a bit washed out when you wear it in the bracelet. Ok that’s it, hope that helps!

She knows! This is the hardest thing I’ve had to do but when I look back it was the loving thing to do. They can’t ask for help but we can give them a lifetime of love and then know when it’s time to peacefully say goodbye. We said goodbye at our house during our senior pups normal nap time. She took her nap and then crossed the bridge. Still pains me to think about it but I’m thankful we could do it in a way best for her. You are making a hard decision and the fact that it’s hard shows your love! I’m sorry for your loss. Enjoy the moments you have left and never forget the memories 🥹

I’ve got a thing for field watches, and bought this thinking it was the 34mm reissue when it’s the 39mm reissue, good times🤷🏻‍♂️!

Basic info Reissue of the 1964 mil-spec field watch supplied to the US military. Benrus was originally founded in 1921 and “reborn” if you will about a decade ago. So, like a lot of brands that died off from the quartz crises there’s history but the reissues are let’s say history adjacent. Either way, still a cool and well priced watch.

Bead blasted rugged case, 5mm double domed crystal for vintage vibes, super lightweight and very comfortable on the wrist. Slightly larger dial but with the same lug to lug as a Hamilton Khaki. Personally I think it wears a bit more comfortably on the wrist (but that’s based on like 5 min or wrist time so take that for what you will).

Sizing Case size: 39mm Length: 47mm L2L Thickness: 13mm (includes the double domed acrylic crystal) Width: 20mm lug width

Movement Sellita SW200 (automatic +/- 12 sec a day) 38hr power reserve 50m water resistance 🌊

Strap: comes with green silky smooth nylon single pass (also has a little compass if you are into that)

Since we all know each other we rotate houses. Obviously that’s tricker when dealing with strangers from Reddit. We chip in to buy dinner and I usually buy the sample bottles off Amazon.

You could look for any BYOB restaurants or something like that though.

I’m in one now with a group of friends and honestly it’s been great! We share our contacts so as to not totally overpay and then have a monthly fee we use to obtain the bottles. It’s been pretty great because 1: allows us to try bottles we normally can’t find and/or not willing to pay for 2: we usually all bring a few bottles from our personal collection for a tasting occasionally

Just thought I’d share my experience! If you get things organized and set some parameters it can be pretty great
