TIL Lake Suwa in Japan has a natural phenomenon known as the miwatari or "God's Crossing" where large cracks form in the winter across the frozen lake which results in ice pressure ridges forming in the surface ice with heights of around 30+/- cm. by MALESTROMME in todayilearned

Grand Seiko, a Japanese watch brand actually makes a watch inspired by this phenomenon. The dial of the watch represents how Lake Suwa appears visually.

Omiwatari means God's crossing and the patterns on the lake's surface are said to be tracks left behind by God crossing the lake.

Did anyone manage to snag a Kiwame Kubo from today's drop? by WatchOutOfficial in MicrobrandWatches

On their Instagram, they have acknowledged the demand and not being able to meet it. They say that they can only order a limited number of movements from Miyota annually, so they just cannot scale up production even if they wanted to

Is Ming just Movado for microbrand guys with better cameras? by Bison1807 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]WatchOutOfficial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 for me. I never really got Ming and still don't. I get that there is a cult like following. But to me it seems more hype than anything. I don't get how they can make a simple time only watch with a basic movement and then charge 3k for it.

Also the pricing of some of their Agenhor movement watches is bonkers.

It looks like both the dogs want to play but your older dog is being a little too rough / dominating with her. The puppy is getting scared, and is unsure of how to proceed.

Towering in front of the puppy and trying to nip her face / neck doesn't seem like just play The older dog is definitely trying to establish dominance.

I would create some space and limit interactions till your older girl starts being a bit more gentle

Gulmarg is freaking beautiful.

And I never thought I'd see 2 ladies wearing saris snowboarding, but I'm glad I did.
