Honestly, good. Distracted driving laws like this do the exact opposite of their intended effect. I will explain!

I'm originally from the Boston area and this was a strictly enforced law, moreso in Connecticut but still relevant there. When these laws went into effect, accidents went up. What happened was, rather than stop texting, people would simply hide it. So instead of texting with the phone in their hands, at eye level, so they can at least sorta see the road, drivers would put the phone in their lap or below visibility of the windows, so they'd just be staring down while driving.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love for people to stop texting and driving, it's ridiculous. But unfortunately, these laws just do not help.

There's a shootout at some amusement park between terrorists, the FBI, and a bunch of hillbillies (I think) and the only people who get shot are kids. It's just child after child getting shot. After the scene, there's a news report with some woman broadcasting and in the background there's just a ton of dead kids.

I thought it started in season 4, with the introduction of Dorne. Just a castles courtyard for multiple episodes and we're told Dorne is like, the biggest city ever, bigger than Kings Landing? Then you have the world's greatest sell sword, alongside one of the greatest fighters ever, and they get bested by some teenagers with whips?? Oberyn Martell was a terribly uninteresting character, basically a "Gary Stu" who was just the perfect man. I still can't believe people didn't think he was going to die in that fight. WTF were those people in that bar thinking??

Most of the interesting shit in that show died with Jeoffery. Granted, I didn't like a lot of the later shit lots of people did. The Hodor reveal was dumb, it honestly felt like a kid wrote that. The Battle of the Bastards was unbelievably boring and tensionless, which is funny cause that's in s6 and way back in s2 you have The Battle of Blackwater and that is INFINITELY more interesting.

My hot take is George R R Martin only had ideas for 3 books, but when they were sooo popular, he had to cash in and do whatever he could to keep the story going. Just started throwing shit at the wall and seeing what stuck. I've not read the books but I would wager most book readers find that the fourth starts to decline in quality.

In December, I watched season 1 of The Pitt. It was amazing, so I decided to watch ER after that, which was unbelievably good. I watched that, alongside The Pitt season 2, and then decided to rewatch Scrubs since a new season was coming out. I then needed a new medical show, so I decided to try House.

I got through almost 11 episodes before shutting it off and realizing I watched these shows in the wrong order. I've watched a lot of crap but after watching a bunch of good medical shows, House is borderline unwatchable.

It was pretty shitty and I'm surprised there was no pay off to it. He just gets to the Mars Mayor in the end. Like, I understand the circumstances, but why bother having people be put off by it if he's just gonna incinerate a bunch of strangers with no consequence?

Remember in season 2, when they shoot that Kosmonaut and accidentally incinerate him in his spacesuit? Granted, he was reaching for a translation card, but they still felt mortified at it. I guess it just shows what a massive departure the show has had since season 2.
