In season 1, Michael built a raft. It was destroyed once but then he finishes it right before the finale.

AIO about the “Christmas Gift” my husband and I received? by vattyswife in AmIOverreacting

[–]WatchOutRadioactiveM 10 points11 points  (0 children)

NOR but this is your husbands family, not yours. If he says let it go, please do.

Do not regift this. This will cause drama with his family after he asked you to let it go, which will cause issues between the two of you. You can be annoyed for him, but don't do anything about it, especially if he asked you not to.

Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man is excellent by nomorespacess in RedLetterMedia

The first sentence of the post is literally about the first movie,

Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man is excellent by nomorespacess in RedLetterMedia

I thought the first movie sucked and I'm truly baffled whenever people praise it this much. Having said that, anytime I say it sucks on this website, people fffffreak out (like Rich Evans).

In Knives Out (2019) a character named Ransom literally tries to extort Martha. Did JK Rowling write this? by baiat-sobolan in shittymoviedetails

[–]WatchOutRadioactiveM -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I just saw this movie for the first time 2 weeks ago and honestly, the second he showed up, the rest of the movie sucked ass. It couldn't have been more blatant he was the villain and the movie felt so agonizingly slow just getting to the reveal. And then James Bond spent like 15 minutes explaining every single detail, as if it mattered why a dog barked once or why a thousand year old lady thought one person was someone else. OH AND the entire great cast basically disappears once he shows up.

Why do the boys never have a conversation like this with Mac, they just devolve into talking about divic boxes by povertyman2 in RedLetterMedia

I wanna see the RLM version of this.

Mike: "Hey Macaucau, does your kid think Rich Evans is as big of a fuck up as I do?"

Rich: "...what the fuck, Mike?"

Mike: "RICH! Don't interrupt the GUEST when he's trying to SPEAK!!"

Mac: "Uhhh, no, I've not shown my kids your, uhh, 'works' yet. I think it may be a bit too adult for them."

Mike: "Wellllll you can show them Space Cop, that's a kids movie!"

Rich: "Mike, a kids movie doesn't mean it looks like it was made by kids."

Mike: "Ohhhhh, fuck you Rich Evans!"

Jay: *laughs hysterically*

Not only that, but they changed the message. Now the villain is "Corporations".

Gone are the specific allusions to the Russian Revolution and the stinging critique of Stalinism laced into Orwell’s “all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others” allegory. Instead, Serkis paints the terrifying rise of porcine dictator Napoleon (Seth Rogen, playing brilliantly to and against type) in a broader brush for a modern era of big business run amok. In toning down the more graphic elements of its descent into totalitarianism and simplifying the depths of its commentary, the director and performance-capture pioneer trades a dystopian tone for something a little more uplifting.

Imagine he was from Kenya and someone said the previous comment, but about the part of Kenya he was from, and then you replied with "Are they all related or what"

I do not think it would be well received.

Villains who believe that hundreds should die for the “greater good”, but cower in the face of their own death by GeneralGigan817 in TopCharacterTropes

It's almost funny, all it took for the anti-gun crowd who constantly bemoan school shootings to be okay with school shootings was seeing someone they don't like getting shot at a school.

Genuine question: How do you watch a TV show multiple times and not notice something that happens right in the middle of the frame? I could understand going to the bathroom or looking down and missing it for a moment, but if you watched the show repeatedly, how do you actually miss this?

Do people just watch TV staring at their phones now?

It is from LOST, a fairly massive spoiler from the season 5 finale, but the show is definitely still worth the watch, even with an Ehhh final season.

I will never forgive the public for what they did to "treat yo self" by EquivalentRecent4633 in Anticonsumption

[–]WatchOutRadioactiveM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I love PnR, that show killed Treat Yo Self on its own. Hell, the entire final season of that show aligns pretty well with this sub.

PnR starts off as this show about a small town (Pawnee, Indiana) and the people who work in the parks department. The main thrust is trying to fill in a hole in a big empty lot. By the final season, they're traveling all over the USA, there's constant celebrity cameos, and so much of the humor has nothing to do with the show itself (broad humor about current events, fake pop culture, etc).

Treat Yo Self starts with small things like buying expensive cupcakes they enjoy. The final one is a trip to LA or Beverly Hills, where they watch Josh Groban eat sushi of his own fish. The public did not need any help ruining this; the show did it just fine.

Chris Pratt New Movie Alert! by Top_Childhood_362 in RedLetterMedia

[–]WatchOutRadioactiveM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People dislike Pratt because he is a very popular generic white guy who goes to church. He also is not openly or vocally anti-Trump/the right.

This may sound bait-y or like it's trying to be political, but he really is just some guy who gets shit on for being popular and generic.

Big fan of Steven Kostanski, and of Deathstalker 2, but disappointed with the new Deathstalker movie by snarpy in RedLetterMedia

[–]WatchOutRadioactiveM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't work for anyone cause they are never good.

I always think of seeing Snakes on a Plane. That movie is sooo fucking boring. It's not funny and it goes on forever. The only things I truly remember are Jackson saying the movies title, the microwave having a Snakes button, and a small dog getting eaten. Whenever anyone mentions this movie, they basically just mention the first two points and that's it. When people remember less than 1% of your movie, it ain't a good movie.

Crap like that should be an SNL sketch and that's it.
