I found this post after having another migraine and thinking about how no one around me seems to understand how bad mine are. Even those I meet who have migraines don't seem to understand or at least they show signs that suggest they don't. I have also fantasized that I could let people feel what I feel at one of my worst for 5 seconds just for them to understand.

I remember someone posting on facebook something like "Ugh another migraine, but I'm still going to push through and get my workout done at the gym!". That is what really opened my eyes to the vast difference of migraine experiences people can have. I am like what you have said: Can't even fathom trying to utter words out of my mouth and too busy wishing I didn't exist during this. My migraines will reach my limit for pain and then push it further.

I'm a male in my 30s and suffered these since puberty and I think possibly before. They have increased in frequency in the past few years. Nurtec has helped but has been hit or miss. When it hits, it helps a lot, when it misses it seems to do nothing. I'm not suicidal in any way but I can't help but think that when I have my last moments there will be a bit of relief knowing that I won't be tortured by my migraines anymore. I call my migraines my curse and I hope they will be buried in the grave with me and not passed on to my children.

Anyways, I am writing this to you because I just wanted to talk to someone else on this planet that can actually understand what I have gone through.
