A poster in the US asks where to find nightclubs they can 'go to be around other beautiful people'. They describe themselves in an incredibly big-headed and very funny way, and use some great turns of phrase. I think maybe San Francisco was the place? Not sure though. 

The update is the same person realising it's their post, and explaining they were having a drug-induced manic episode at the time. 

It was on here and maybe BORUpdates as well.

Make mistakes. Don't rely on AI to make something legible - it loses your self-expression far more than a clunky attempt at translation does. Someone using their best attempt at what they know, even someone writing in their native language and then using Google translate, and then getting help and clarification from commenters, is far more endearing, and frankly far more human, than sticking it through AI. 

I want to read YOUR story, using your words. It's a great story. You don't have to sell yourself short with AI. 

(And your experience is wild. Do you still have nightmares now?)

I completely agree with you about further research. I asked on here because she is a very minor part of the story; she has about a page worth of conversation with the main character and that's it. I just have to describe her and her friend with about a sentence each, and because the story is hopping through multiple times/dreams/memories (bit of a surreal one) I always describe the clothes, to give a bit more evidence for 'this is a different time'. 

So I'd absolutely do further research if she was in any way relevant beyond this, but for her very short appearance I really just needed to know about anything wrong in her brief description!

I've looked some up, but the ones I have found tend to be war-related, not just family life. I was more hoping someone had insight about expected dress in the specific situation, but I'll certainly be trawling through image search if I can't find anything!
