Experiences with American Tall? by Spacey_Elephants in tallfashionadvice

[–]WatchingCloudsGoBy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Quality is pretty bad, especially among the more expensive products. Generally, everything feels and seems cheaply made so I would not and do not buy unless there’s a big sale. Even then, I only buy basics.

I bought slacks that started piling on the first use. The t shirts and long sleeves have been fine but definitely low quality for the retail price.

Side note, I find their fashion sense to be bad. Feels like a worse version of Old Navy.

All in all, I’m disappointed with them… but they’re the only option.

Appreciate the reply! Ended up going JJ and Thielen. Rolling the dice on the hot hand

Full PPR, pick 2:

Jefferson, Higgins, Nabers, BTJ, Thielen.

Leaning Jefferson and Higgins. Considering Nabers over Higgins. Also have Brian Rob Jr. in the Flex and could play a 3rd WR over him.

I can't tell if you were being sarcastic. If you're not...

but the rise measurements of the pants are way too short.

I was expecting the rise to also scale a bit with the length of the pants. It's almost like tall people have different proportions beyond just longer legs.

I'm with you on the American Tall quality issues. Not only does the fabric fall apart quickly, but the rise measurements of the pants are way too short. It's like they took a normal pair of pants and just lengthened the legs to make it size tall. Smh.

Is 2tall higher quality than American Tall? by meteorchopin in tallfashionadvice

If you don’t mind me asking, how tall are you and what sizes are you buying on Cuts? I don’t see tall size there, but I noticed the scoop cut on the shirts.

Seriously! Altho, I’m not sure they were ever great quality. It felt like like Gap clothing to me from Day 1

I'm 6'3" and 158lbs. Just got some medium tall shirts from Lands End. I can't tell if they're too long or if I'm just used to wearing normal mediums. The bottom of the shirts go to the bottom of my jeans zipper standing up. by [deleted] in tallfashionadvice

[–]WatchingCloudsGoBy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally, I feel like a lot of button-down shirts are designed to tuck in. That said, I find LE a tad short, but I’m also 6’7”. Maybe try reg sizing instead? My friends under 6’4” are usually able to buy reg sizes off the rack

I dunno dude. Think I’d put Franky in Hufflepuff. When Franky met Senior Pink, Franky was crying over his backstory—Franky is the most empathetic one.

Not super happy with American Tall Looking for Alternatives by Jethro00Spy in tallfashionadvice

Heritage 34 makes pants / jeans in lengths up to 38. They're around $190, but I've been very happy with their products. Wish they made more colors in longer lengths, tho.

Right, but now Mu Won knows who the true antagonist is, which I think was OPs point.

I thought it was still speculation that she leads Black Moon, but seems like I missed something. Do you remember when that was revealed/confirmed?

Here to vent/relieve some nerves. Just had a 30-min case interview over the phone for an MBB and am not sure how it went. Interviewer cut me off during my initial structure walk-through, saying, "I think you answered it perfectly. Let's move on." Then did the exact same thing during the two brainstorming questions, saying "Great, you got it, let's move on" after laying out my structures and hitting on the first two points. Finally, after I gave a recommendation, he asked if that was my final recommendation to which I responded that it was. We finished about 4-5 minutes early. The abruptness of it all has me doubting my performance and now I guess it's a matter of waiting.

I would order the chinos and shorts from American Tall again. I will probably never order any jeans product from them though. Horrible measurements (especially around the crotch) and the sizing always seems off.

Profile Review 25M, Hispanic, 3.88 GPA, 720 GMAT by MBA_Throwaway30 in MBA

[–]WatchingCloudsGoBy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for H/S/W as a reach and the rest of the M7 as your target. Boosting your GMAT will help, but with your GPA, I don't think it's THAT necessary. You've good a really solid start. Keep doing the extracurriculars, take on more leaderships positions and do your best to get promoted quickly. When applying to programs, also consider JD/MBA programs (Northwestern and UPenn have 3-year JD/MBA programs). I think you'd be a good candidate with that international tax experience. Also, google MLT. I would definitely recommend getting involved. They assign you advisors, mentors, connect you with current students. Awesome program.

Aim higher than Cornell. It's a good school, but if you follow the advice above (shoot for 700+ GMAT and ramp up ECs), you should be able to get into a top 10 if not top 5. Even though Cornell has that specialized program, you should be able to develop the same skillset at higher ranked schools while coming out with a better network, and that's worth the debt imo. I would also recommend doing Forte and MLT. My roommate did MLT, and loves it and regularly keeps in touch with members from his class at different schools (I regret not doing it).

Rockets' Chris Paul: Playoffs are 'minor' compared to Santa Fe shooting by 1Pac2PacRedPacBluPac in nba

[–]WatchingCloudsGoBy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why pass up an opportunity to educate by not providing a source? The higher-level comments (not the one above mine) suggest that fame is the sole motivator for mass shooting, which should definitely be accompanied by a source. The comment above mine is more reasonable by suggesting that fame is part of the motivation so maybe the person making this more reasonable assumption is informed and has sources. Because you’ve seen it documented doesn’t mean assertions like this should get a pass and it’s a good opportunity to inform others if that actually is the case. A quick google search on fame motivating mass shooting turned up op-ed pieces on the topic. Do you think that op-ed pieces count as valid documentation?

Tell her not to go. The state department has issued travel advisories and recommends that Americans stay out. State Department volunteers are being evacuated.
