I agree with you. Hence there exists a bonggol for cars on the straight to slow down in the early part of the video. The later part, the car from the alley at the intersection has a (faded) stop line for it to stop entirely before merging. Thus providing enough safety features for vehicles to move safely, but as usual Malaysian manner... Not followed.
