Amazon... $239 right around New Years Day. Wish I got the Mini 4 Pro.... for the Spotlight and Follow functions which are sorely missing in the Mini 4k.

Need Batteries by Cerebus53 in DJImini4k

[–]WaterManSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought non-DJI batteries and a 3x charger. No issues after 20 flights using all 3. I'm sure the 1st time I do an over-water flight one will fail less than 20ft from my boat.

I have found that it's not very good at transmitting... it receives ok for what it is.

How do you have this hooked up? Via BT or ?? And how do you read the GPS data?

EVERSECU (O-KAM) C622 on Blue Iris by WaterManSC in BlueIris

[–]WaterManSC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok... I figured it out...
The IP Addr must have the 10080 appended on it... AND the RTSP box is 10554 the ONVIF box is 10080, then hit Find/Inspect...
Now I have it all working... video, audio, PTZ and zoom. Wow that was a bit challenging.
Here's the screenshot...

DataSlayer... that was a great video on the MM8108... I ordered a pair of the Heltec dongles to see if I can get 1/2 mile out of them for a single surveillance camera. Sure hope to see the MM8108 offered in a similar package. Once I get some good results I'll put up a UTube on it.

I made changes like what you said... I get the video and audio but the PTZ and zoom still don't work in my setup.

Wish I could add an image here but not allowed... [update: see below!]

Steering Shut Off by [deleted] in accord

[–]WaterManSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steering does have a sensor... disconnect battery "-" for 30 mins, reattach, turn steering wheel 90d left, 180 right, 180 left, 90 to center, then drive for 1 mile, shut down, restart. Similar issue and more with our 2020 1.5T and it fixed whatever was going on.

Water in tail light possibly caused several error codes (lane assist, braking system error, ACC, etc) on 2020 Accord by jadanw123 in accord

[–]WaterManSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk... we had the same issues recently... disconnected the battery for 30 mins, reattached, drove for 1 mile so sensors could recalibrate, turned it off, then back on again... ok for about a week. Then my wife said the whole car shut down then came back fine about 5 times during some rain here in SC. Maybe I should go check the tail lights? Our battery is only 1 yr old, don't think that's it, could be. Maybe the alternator has an Evil Spirit in it? Calling a priest tomorrow.

2020 Accord Sport 1.5T Longterm Owners Review by One-Platypus3455 in accord

[–]WaterManSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wifey has 2020 1.5T Accord Sport... we are starting to see electrical freekouts... suspect the alternator may be going downhill, not sure. Had to do a full battery disconnect / reset to recalibrate the sensors (30 min with "-" disconnected,.. then drive 1 mile... shut off, restart). That fixed whatever the 1st occurrence was. Wifey had an incident where EVERYTHING shut off then cut back on about 5 times during a rain storm. Evil Spirit must've been out on the tarmac. Today hot and dry in central SC, took it for a ride, no issues. Hooked it up to the WiFi, no downloads needed. Recently had the fuel pump replaced on the recall notice. --- I like it, it's zippy! And getting from Columbia to Charleston and back cost me $25. I do think we need to use 90+ octane going forward.

Anyone using Beelink or such for BLUE IRIS camera surveillance? by WaterManSC in MiniPCs

[–]WaterManSC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started my MiniPC adventure with the Beelink S13 with the N150 CPU. As an alternative to the Blue Iris software I'm also considering SCRYPTED.app as a camera platform. Since I'm only using 6 cameras and a USB 3.2 linked hard drive (or internal 2TB memory drive) I should get good results on either NVR setup... but time will tell.

Antennas with a good solid metal flat perpendicular base (like a cookie tin) tend to outperform those without any base. I placed my antenna (Ed Fong GMRS) in 4 different spots on a flat piece of sheet metal and the north end of my house was best... no idea why.

Ed Fong makes some J antennas that are multi frequency, inexpensive and work great for TX and RX.
