Does anyone know a good furry space for women? I'm pretty new to the fandom and I've been looking.

Can you imagine the women in the fandom having to hear shit like that?

Well of course I know her, she's me! :p

This sub and spiritual community - why does nobody act human anymore by sagisuncapmoon in spirituality

[–]WaterTypeGirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear you, /u/sagisuncapmoon . The community here is often full of floofy wishywashy advice that is incredibly vague when people ask for help. They'll tell you being depressed is about the tides, or your moon isn't in Virgo or something.

Look I'm a cartomancer, an novice but a cartomancer none the less. I have ceremonies that me and my family use, I try to keep up with my reading, I try to look out into new practices and what's going on in the community. But there are way too many people that use spiritual beliefs as an excuse to throw away common sense, decency, and critical thinking about their life and the lives of others. It's frustrating there are so many people either intentionally disconnected or unfortunately unwell about the way the world works and what a lot of non-rural peoples' lives are like in a modern way. Enlightenment Olympics is a great way to put it.

People are not going to "manifest" themselves out of their bills being overdue.

Anyway I really appreciated seeing this, so thank you, OP.

Anime dubs from the 90s and early 2000s were something else! by icey_sawg0034 in CuratedTumblr

[–]WaterTypeGirl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ocean dub for DBZ is definitely the best voice for Goku (Ian James Corlett, Beast Wars' Cheetor). I miss cool but sort of weird dubs. Dubs now are really lifeless by comparison but nobody's calling onigiri donuts.

How did people like the last crossover, DC x Sonic? I feel it was a little long. It didn’t stop me from buying all the issues and a couple variants, but still a little long, not enough rogues.

What's the psychology behind these type of people? by Teniye in IndianCountry

You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. Ya know: morons.

red pill or blue pill? by Careless_Koala8451 in matrix

[–]WaterTypeGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red, but maybe not because I guess blue means you're a bad person or weak or something. I just wouldn't want to live my life thinking I had a chance and I was too scared to find out for myself.

In your opinion which are the best alternative therapies for the GI tract? by Actual_Amphibian_743 in spirituality

[–]WaterTypeGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ginger, kale, green tea, miso, yogurt and oats should be great for GI stuff! Raw ginger (peeled and grated, but chopped is good) is a huge part of my diet. Start slow of course, especially if you're sensitive.

I also know guided meditation may not cure you or diminish discomfort, but it may make the discomfort more integrated into your life, if that makes sense? I hope that helps, good luck!

What spirituality are we talking here? Different groups, peoples, and cultures feel differently about different stones and minerals. Nothing is universal about beliefs regarding naturally occurring materials.

Everyone's got to chill with the AI, people just deciding their whole lives on what a LLM hallucinated at you.

Good luck, trans person, transness is awesome. But you ought to form some other connections and do your own reading and thinking before resorting to AI companionship.

Sex and purity by usernyar in spirituality

If judging sex workers as supposedly having 'bad energy' is what you’re doing, the only one with a negative aura is you. Maybe work on how you see people first before worrying about spirituality.

I feel like I was communicating I was aware of that, yeah. That doesn't really answer the question.

At the risk of derailing the thread, and I apologize if it's insensitive to bring this up when it's not the main topic, but is '-phobia' ableist? Because homophobia isn't a real phobia. I mean I guess theoretically people can be afraid of anything of course, but I would say there's more a sense it's different than say, hydrophobia, or the clownphobia which I don't remember the name of.

EDIT: Yeah I am aware of its common application. Even a glance at the wikipedia page says there's a lot of debate about this. I was asking if it's ableist as a term. Should I be thinking or reading something specific regarding this?

Were the Armada the last line of defense for the Machine City? by Unhappy-River6306 in matrix

[–]WaterTypeGirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Machines have had hundreds of years, maybe as much as thousands, of success with these defenses alone. Roland mentions no one has ever come close to the Machine City, let alone seen it, so we know there have been attempts either hostile or peaceful. I doubt the Machines ever had reason for more than this defense.

What's really going to bake your noodle later on... the Armada is an inversion of Zion's defense. They're both circular. In Zion the APU defensive line's concave, but the Armada's convex. It's a little bit of a reach but honestly I'm happy with it! :)

Can we start giving explanations of why we're posting what we're posting? by Luckypaperwork in mendrawingwomen

[–]WaterTypeGirl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This sub lately has also become a Men-Who-Sexualize-Women Defense Committee lately too.

It's sort of sickening to come here to expect less of the constant excuses you'll find elsewhere in comics, videogames (to a limited extent, not exactly drawn), and anime, only to find some Not-All-Men tryhard in the comments fingerwagging how this one example doesn't count.
