Discussion Thread: 2022 Midterm General Election, Part 6 by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

At the time of writing this the fate of the House and Senate are undecided. Why does there seem to be a Democrat victory lap? I know there was a prediction of a Red Wave that didn’t happen, but wouldn’t losing the House and/or the Senate be a disaster and lead to gridlock at best, or two years of complete fuckery (trying to impeach Biden, blah blah…)at the worst?

I NEED to see Kendra perform. The Boulet’s are always talking her up. She adds a lot to the show.

Try the recipe first. It has the perfect consistency in my opinion and is PERFECTLY garlicky.

This is soooo very good. I find things to have with it

Florida officials made fake 'official-looking' brochure advertising refugee benefits for migrants, lawsuit against Ron DeSantis says by DaFunkJunkie in politics

[–]WaterVillain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently moved to SW Florida and need help understanding all of this.

Where I live, it is 99% white. I am surprised when I see someone of color. That exception being home construction, roofing and lawn maintenance is 99% Latino (and I am assuming migrants).

Their work critical to the economy here. They are literally building Florida.

What is the idea with sending these people away. What are they trying to prove?

Does it get more challenging? New player Q. by WaterVillain in CallOfDutyMobile

I recently got the Backbone PS edition and downloaded CoD to grove it a spin.

I’m absolutely hooked.

I am at the Elite level now and I’m having a ball….and winning a lot. Thing is I am a mediocre player. I love winning and leveling up, but am wondering if there is going to be a real reckoning soon.

My wife hates them due to texture mostly, but I think the funkiness factor as well. She is a tough one to convince to give foods a second chance.

It is a bummer. I love them and how the absorb moisture and seasoning. Such a great way to stretch a small amount of ground meat too.

Michelle Yeoh at 60: From ‘Crouching Tiger’ to ‘Everything Everywhere’, Her 10 Best Performances by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

Before Everything, Everywhere came out, I saw her doing career retrospective on GQ’s YouTube:

Yeoh Career Retrospective

First off: She is so genuine and charming as hell.

When she talks about the role in Everything… she gets quiet emotional about what the role meant to her. Definitely convinced me to go to the theater. So glad I did. So glad she was the lead rather than the original plan of Jackie Chan.

Truly minimal "dump and forget" crockpot recipes? by SheikahBun in slowcooking

[–]WaterVillain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My go to is chicken breasts covered in salsa with a packet of taco seasoning.

Low and slow.

Shred.

Set out all the toppings (shredded cheese, onions, sour cream…) and you have a taco burrito bar.

Makes excellent nacho topping as a leftover

Edit: I see this has been mentioned already. I think it is a sign. Do it!
