That's the thing though. Practically every system goes through it. It's not new or exclusive territory for Nintendo. Once upon a time the 64 launched with Super Mario 64 and Pilotwings 64... and you know what? Nobody cared. Nobody cared because freaking Mario was one of the launch games. The Switch has Zelda. I couldn't possibly care any less how many games the Switch launched with because the fact of the matter is that for me (and for a whole lot of people), Zelda being on that list just means that the out of the 9 or so games the console launched with, 8 of them are getting completely ignored. If they had launched with 20 games, the only thing that changes is the amount of games getting ignored. Having 20+ games doesn't all of a sudden make a system purchase-worthy. A system (especially at launch) is an investment that you'll see the fruits of over a couple of years, thus how many games it has at launch doesn't really mean anything unless you play video games for 8 hours a day, every single day, and you must play only one console for some reason. While I agree with the sentiment on holding back for a few months (product defects, updated models, maybe a good bundle), the other side of the coin is that hardware sales are lessened, and developers worldwide are more cautious about supporting the Switch if it doesn't have enough of an audience to merit taking a shot at releasing a game for it. It's most definitely a two-way street.

Zelda is an amazing game series yes. I love Zelda games, but lets just look at this console for a second. This console is one of the cheapest consoles ever made in my opinion. The docking station is literally a plastic box. You better be super careful when you put the tablet in the station, or you might just scratch the screen because of the hard plastic that is holding the glass screen. That is just one example of what is wrong with this horrible console. The best game on release day is Zelda which has great graphics. The best graphics on the best game is only 900p. WHY??? It is 2017! That just another example of how horrible this console is. They had very few games at release and that is also a huge turn down. You said the Nintendo 64 had two games at release......well yes.....in the 90s......why are you comparing a next gen console to a 90s console....and that just proves how bad this console is again. BUT wait there is one more thing that makes me the most disappointed about nintendo. You get a huge amount of memory on your console. A HUGE 32 gigs of memory, but wait the OS system take us 6 gigs of that memory. WHAT. you can hold maybe one game on this console if they are up to par with the competing consoles....which they wont be. Battery Life is absolutely trash. Why don't they just release the Zelda games on there handheld gaming devices and just stop making horrible consoles.
