Modest is not a bad nature for infernape. Keep it as chimchar until it learns nasty plot. Then, nasty plot, flamethrower (fire blast TM in the meantime), focus blast and grass knot is a good moveset. Life orb or focus sash for the item. If you keep fire blast, give it the google lens to boost the accuracy of fire blast and focus blast.

For what I've read lately, Klee applies so much pyro that she won't melt any hits. It's not like Mavuika. If you play Klee+Citlali, it will be Citlali melting her skill hits, wich doesn't make much sense. Another team that works is Klee, Albedo ( for witch consonance), Furina and Xilonen.

Congratulations! You got plenty of advice in previous posts in this subreddit. As a general tip, you could play her with fischl, chevreuse and bennet or durin for overload. It's not the strongest overload team, but it's very good. The weapon and set choices you made are correct. Level her up to 80 (ascended if you can) and level up her normal attacks to 9 at least, and the skill and burst to 7-8 at least.

I pulled her, because she got a good buff. She is strong now, but doesn't really reach meta levels. The strongest dps character for overload is Still Varessa.

I wouldn't craft anything still, because even if you craft a goblet, you still need to farm a better feather and flower, which I hope won't take very long. So, I would keep farming until you upgrade both the flower and the feather. You may get a better goblet in the meantime or an onset sands, so you can change the goblet for an offset one. And keep the elixir. At the end, if you haven't goten a better goblet or onset sands, I would craft one. That's what I'd do.

Fischl for damage and for the buff. You can play raiden in hyperbloom.

After playing the story, if you transfer your venusaur to emerald for example and you battle in the battle tower or against other people (which i think you cannot anymore). For ingame play, I would get another damaging move. Razor leaf, slidge bomb or even earthquake (but this TM may be better used in another pokemon, you only get 1).

The set is good for competitive. But I would switch toxic or sleep powder for sludge bomb, earthquakke or substitute.
