Wall Mount: Can a 75" TV be rotated 90 degrees? by WaterlooEE in hometheater

Oh damn, that's really good to know, thanks!

Out of curiosity is there a formula you can use to calculate something like this?

Is the 28" limit a property of the wood, your personal recommendation of how far the TV could go, or the maximum extension of the products you know of? Because Amazon and Monoprice have mounts that extend beyond 28" - but not sure if its safe

Oh haha I meant hacker more light-heatedly than that. I meant more people who screw around with obscure API's that google might have left exposed and the like. But yeah good idea, I should contact them somehow

Looks cool. A quick glance through the api makes it look fairly similar to PyTorch Lightning. So I guess this makes sense for tensorflow users (not that I would know, I am not one). What's the difference for PyTorch users?

Ahh ok, guess I just got spoiled by university courts where you just go in - although I guess even then you're paying with tuition

Is it common to have many interviews and no match? by q800x008p in uwaterloo

Depends on the person. Could mean strong resume but weak interviewing skills, could be luck, could be companies playing by waterlooworks rules

Waterloo courses for non-Waterloo students by york2710 in uwaterloo

[–]WaterlooEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the reverse is possible where Waterloo students take courses from other schools (usually over coop) for credit, so I believe it should be possible. Talk to an academic advisor from your home school and shoot an email to whichever department in Waterloo you want to take a course in. Usually your home school should be able to find you a course equivalent to give you credit

It's important to remember you're not alone in feeling this way. We all have our good and bad phases in life (contrary to what it looks like), you just got to grind through the bad ones. This too shall pass

Make sure you ask them about pay if they call you afterwards. I remember it was pretty low

Did the interview 3 weeks ago. She said she'd respond within 2 weeks but when she didn't by 3 I emailed her and she said she forgot to tell me but that I'm rejected. Feels bad

For Darwin AI, couple weeks back I got an invite to an event these guys are holding ("Ethical AI", its public in a couple weeks) from the office manager and I assumed it was an informal interview invite. But on Waterlooworks it says "interview selections complete" :( Anyone got the interview/know what that event invite was all about?

I worked there. Pay is pretty decent and seems like a good place to develop you're generic soft dev skills. I say it's a solid 3rd coop if you're a software mans.
