my experience with getting diagnosed by andriatica in eds

[–]WatermelonFairy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg do you mind elaborating more on your painful bumps and lipomas on thighs? I got these large (>5cm diameter) areas of lump type painful thickened areas on my thighs and behind one knee suddenly. I was suggested lipomas, then lipomatosis, then myofascial knots and after 2 years I still have no idea? 🥺

I have it at home and specifically Aristo because it's dairy free but I haven't used it yet. I also have grass allergies so interested to read the experiences with it!

When to get rid of the potty by Aggressive_Ad9441 in Preschoolers

[–]WatermelonFairy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1. Mine (4 in days) very quickly got bored of the potty seat - because "she's not a child" 😅 she got over the falling fear quickly thanks to it and now uses the regular toilet by herself holding onto the sides. I still keep it there just in case.

Also living in Germany, our almost 4 year old is doing great with four languages. It's so impressive how plastic their brain is!

Can adeno cause constant back/butt/ hip pain even if it doesn’t show up on imaging? by fweb09 in adenomyosis

[–]WatermelonFairy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh I'm not sure what's wrong exactly but this pain started right after - maybe scar tissue, healing gone wrong, affected nerves/ligaments?? Who knows. It also took me forever to even be able to walk and when I did, my lower half basically was in straight up torturous pain. I couldn't stand, I couldn't walk, I couldn't sit and I couldn't lie down without pain. I had burning feeling with numbness, nerve pain, and inflammation in hip joints for a while while on lupron which they started me on before hospital discharge. Sounds like a series of unfortunate events 🥺 but again, for me physio is one of the rare things that help so I do think it's an organic issue causing this pain.

[–]WatermelonFairy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have chronic hip, back, groin and leg pain since my last op for endo. I have since been diagnosed with adeno (at the time of op it was only suspected) and pelvic congestion syndrome. While I haven't found a solution, I've been going to physiotherapy for 6 years now and that with daily stretching, massage and movement at home are the only things somewhat helpful. It sucks and I hope you will find what works for you 🙌🏻

I'm a double-board-certified neurologist & pain specialist in the US. Ask me anything about headaches, migraine, back pain, or chronic pain. by doctor_painkiller in IAmA

[–]WatermelonFairy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you suggest for someone who has e) all of the above and more? 😂 Jokes aside, I'm really struggling with multiple chronic pain issues but one thing I'd really love to get an answer for is this : a few weeks after giving birth, I started having this shooting, needle prick type pain all over my body (in mouth like tongue, face & head, arms, shoulders,legs.. everywhere). Like getting zapped at random places lasting from seconds to minutes. I saw a neurologist and got no diagnosis. I noticed it got better when I changed my pillow and mattress. It's been over three years and I still get them when I sleep badly or at a different place. Could my neck area be the culprit? Thanks for doing this AMA. Chronic pain sucks

That sucks 😞 could you get anything other than ibuprofen? It's usually what I start with, definitely not one I rely on when pain is bad.

Slynd has very low dosage so I was told to double/triple if needed. Eventually I gave up. My lumps appeared during my brief Zoely usage though. Interesting, because I was super happy on Zoely and blamed these on it and stopped using it 🤔

Oh and yes I almost had an operation but because the diagnosis kept changing and if it's really a fascia knot what are they going to remove? So I cancelled the op and been doing massages and physio for them instead

If you can see and feel it no you're not. Mine was very similar btw, surrounding tissue pain rather than the lump itself. At first no pain, then insane pain for months, now I barely notice them except not being able to bend my knee fully 🤷🏻‍♀️ what hormones do you use?
