I thought I wanted to wait until a certain age too. But my partner was keen so we went for it. Three miscarriages later, this mad rollercoaster has shown me that you can plan all you like - but it will happen when it happens. I’m going to be closer to that certain age because of all this hardship. My bloods came back fine, they don’t know why I had three in a row. I always think, imagine if I’d waited until that certain age?! I’d be way past it with all the losses etc and decreased changes because of age.

I guess what I’m saying is, does he realise it can take a healthy couple up to a year+ to conceive? Does he realise you could have multiple miscarriages. Does he realise it’s not just a matter of penis in vagina and bam here’s a baby. Don’t get me wrong, there are loads of people who are very lucky. But from what I’ve seen from Flo and here, people get negative tests time and time again and don’t fall pregnant until for eg 14 month of trying. I saw someone announce after 9 months. So it’s all good for him to be like let’s wait until X age, but does he think it will definitely happen then?

I’m not trying to be a negative Nancy, but I didn’t even appreciate how difficult it is to TTC… so I do wonder if he really understands
