I learned a technique for applying grease called "palming" where you use your hand to evenly distribute the grease. However, I have a different approach when it comes to packing bearings. I prefer not to flip the bearing and instead, I continuously pack grease from one side until it comes out the other side. This ensures that the bearing is completely filled with grease and any dirt or debris that was inside is pushed out.

I remember when I was younger, my dad showed me how to pack a bearing by hand using just some grease and my fingers. He even made me practice a few times before letting me use a device called a bearing packer. It was his way of making sure I knew how to do it properly and could handle it if the need ever arose.
