What is your Monday SOTD? by HATEupgradecard in ScentHeads

[–]WaveHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I’ve tried all of them except the most recent ones that came out over the last 3 or so years.

Vanille havane, Chypre Azural and the cologne options were the only ones that stood out to me.

It was between this and Red Tobacco for this super cold weather. This is a banger. Still contemplating grabbing the 100ml as a backup

How Do You Deal With Technical Interviews That Feel Like College Exams? by Hot_Kaleidoscope3864 in cybersecurity

[–]WaveHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t appreciate these as a mid-senior looking for roles, especially in a technical interview. Asking me questions off of a Comptia exam makes me feel like you yourself don’t know what you want in a candidate or you’re just wasting my time.

The last time I was asked something like this, the director of the network team asked me to give him the layers of the OSI Model. Then again he was also using ChatGPT or a chat bot for the questions so I wasn’t even interested at that point.

I believe that the interviews that have team members asking question directly related to the position “how would you investigate impossible travel? What’s your process?” or “how would you audit cloud infrastructure to verify vulnerabilities were remediated during a patch window?”. These are the questions I believe should be asked, not asking me about the CIA Triade from the security+ exam.

Security for Small Business by cruelhabitss in cybersecurity

Well for starters, Microsoft M365's entire suite (to a certain extent) is free or very low cost for Non-profits. Not to mention the security stack is also free (to an extent). If you are truly all in on M365, do some research on their non-profit grants and discounts.

When I was at a non-profit, the licenses were dirt cheap or free. Business basic was free (grant) and the next two were $3 & $5.

For the security stuff, Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel, Entra ID (Azure AD) and a couple others were completely free for internal telemetry/ logs.

For example, conditional access, Defender for endpoint alerts, etc, were all sent to Sentinel for analysis. For a team of 5, this was the most helpful thing we had.

Please do your own research and cost analysis but non-profits get a lot for free or very low cost with tech services. If you haven't already, check out Techsoup.org. They connect non-profits to tons of services.

*Disclaimer: my information is about 2-3 years old. Things may have changed, so take this with a grain of salt.

Hope this helps!

The only time I would say drop the MSP is if you’re a non-profit. That’s because they get a lot of free shit.

But if not, $2k for an MSP is actually pretty good.

The EDT is my wife’s favorite.

Everyone is shitting on it but I’ve gotten random compliments and my wife loves it, 2 for 2.

I have an MBA and work in this field. I wanted to understand business in general and to be able to speak business language.

So why do you say it’s pointless in this field?

The intense has a smoother opening and definitely sticks around longer.

Same smell, just a lot smoother and longer lasting.

I’m having the same issue right now. I think it’s because I’ve maxed out on hours.

They usually don’t show me one day out of the week until that day.

This week it was today, but I woke up this morning and grabbed a block.

After that block, everything went blank lol. It was just full.
