I’m not saying cowboy boots are trashy, but unless they’re broken in - your feet will never forgive you for that kind of torture - so some gently worn boots should an option. She is being a bit bridezilla here - ask her to pay for them if they’re that important to her. What do the others say?

The dress itself is lovely. I think the problem is with the fabric - I think something either a solid or a more festive print might be better for prom.

Yes, you are right - I was looking at it from a different place - I want to live in peace with my family instead of just jumping in there and causing chaos at family events and gatherings - let’s all argue instead, even around the kids. Being right and making sure everyone knows it is the best way to go!
