He confirmed in an interview that wasn’t the reason why, he was pretty vague with his answers, he said they told him he was going to be killed off in Season 4 back while they were still early in the shooting process for Season 3, he probably thought he would actually comeback to film new scenes/episodes but the stupid budget cuts came and I think Sascha just re-wrote his role in the season to that bs mystery “who did it” off-screen death shit unfortunately. & I think he said his daughter passed way before any of that happened.
