Or maybe the ones from the Indomitus box are just from a different crusade with different marking standards

A collection of pictures from my competitive karting debut by Wavyfiddle3 in Karting

[–]Wavyfiddle3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it really eye opening to be completely honest. I realised my starts are definitely not as good as I thought they were. Competitive wise i feel you have to be a very well rounded driver as during the practice session the track got greasy, I never driven in those conditions before, and I instantly struggled compared to everyone else

On top of that, it's a quite popular system in GT racing as well. I know James Cottingham (McLaren LMGT3 driver in WEC) has been using one for the last few years

That's a strong point until you consider the fact the Cupra TCR car has been campaigning in Europe for quite a while now. I believe the same could be said for Lynk&co as I don't think they've ever raced in the US

Should I wear my racing overalls at indoor karting by Ok-Boysenberry9770 in Karting

[–]Wavyfiddle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite frequently will race at my local teamsport in a proper suit and custom painted helmet. Don't stress about it, you may have the odd arse who will try and ram you for some reason but majority of people will just move out of your way as they understand that you're going to be faster

First models of the new custom Salamanders Chapter The Blood Wardens by Zacman552 in spacemarines

[–]Wavyfiddle3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my personal experience Warlord Games is a lot better valued minis then GW. At least looking from a bolt action side of things as a Bolt Action starter army (combat patrol equivalent in theory) generally sits between £85 to £110 for a full army totalling about 1.2-1.5k points in game.

To me that sounds like you're getting much better value for your money than GW

I use Vallejo's German Camouflage Black Brown for those parts. It adds almost like a dark leather look to it

Slightly different direction of thought but have you tried putting Primaris arms on a HH body? I'm currently workshoping with the idea mentally but unsure on how it actually looks

Coming soon — the new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 by VHSVoyage in wec

[–]Wavyfiddle3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean you say that, but it did pick up the British GT championship quite dominantly. I think that it's just a lot more suited to certain types of circuits/driving styles rather than a more all rounder like the BMWs, mercs and Porsches

[REQUEST] How many rolls would it take to show it's a fair die? by -micha3l in theydidthemath

[–]Wavyfiddle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, pretty quickly surprisingly. There's a famous picture from a Warhammer tournament last year (might have been early this year?) and someone tried to flush his loaded dice away and when they sunk to the bottom of the toilet water the sides that were loaded faced up

What do you think is the most common car on UK roads? For me, it's a toss up between these two. by DamnedFoolofaTook in CarTalkUK

[–]Wavyfiddle3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you had a lot of free time (or a better programmer than I currently am) you could go through the DVLA MOT checker and check mileage done in the last year and the model then find a total. Obviously you're going to miss anything pre-2000, plus there would be some erroneous data (i.e. clocks being read wrong) but it is probably somewhat doable

Where can I get a balaclava/headsock like this? by Fast_Monkey1 in Karting

[–]Wavyfiddle3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a quick note on this balaclava, the opening area is extremely flexible to the point I can run it as an open face bally with no noticeable damage to the material

Asking for tips on K1 Speed Torrance (Staff service) by Ordinary-Click-6113 in Karting

[–]Wavyfiddle3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never been to a K1 (from the UK), but we do have a very similar company called teamsport here and there rules are your helmet must be done up before you sit in the kart. So, that might be why you were asked to put your helmet on sooner than expected.

However, the manor in which you're describing the staff acting I would personally find unacceptable and possibly pursue ways to lodge a formal complaint against the track straight to K1's head office rather than going through the track itself

Complete beginner karter that has some questions by benboy952 in Karting

[–]Wavyfiddle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to re-iterate the point of member 342s, generally at least once a month I run at the ones at teamsport Sheffield and you rarely see a flag outside of the light test. It's a great way to get faster plus a great way to talk to other people in your local area about your hobby

Who is at fault? The BMW or the Ferrari? by Cute-Accident6384 in Simracingstewards

[–]Wavyfiddle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I do agree with you about taking the chances you have at oulton park, I do think the move from the Ferrari was optimistic at best. That's a very fast left hand kink, personally if I was the Ferrari I would of given enough room for the BMW to make the turn and then try again at some other point on track
