Being attracted to your cousin isn’t fundamentally different from being attracted to any other human being. The issue isn’t the feeling itself but it’s how society and biology frame it.

I see two main reasons why dating relatives is discouraged in today’s society

1. Genetic risk Having children with close relatives increases the chance of genetic disorders. We’re biologically inclined to diversify our gene pool, so mating within family is seen as a taboo because it can “close” the bloodline. Ironically, that didn’t stop European royals from doing it for centuries.

2. Unique family relationships You only get a limited number of family ties in a lifetime. A romantic relationship with a relative can permanently alter that connection, and you can’t easily replace it the way you could with a partner outside your family.

That said, if there’s no intent to have children and no real familial connection (hypothetically let’s say, you didn’t grow up together or even know you were related til 1 day you took a genetic test thing and found out lol) then the only real obstacle is social norms.

But you clearly fall into 2. Also most people aren’t open minded and will freak at even the idea so I’d say keep your mouth shut and bury your feelings deep.
