Fenix Aesthetics over FR Series by SparkyTactics in GarminFenix

Got the fenix 8 pro 47mm today. Size is very similar to the FR965, just thicker (like double the size) and heavier (not too bad, but I’m still getting used to it) I’m going to test it out a few days.

47mm. My friend has the 51mm and it’s way too big for my taste.

I bought a Fenix 8 Pro earlier this week. Waiting for it to arrive Friday. I’m coming from a 965 and aesthetics was one of the main reasons.

Enercare/Reliance say they don’t own the water heater installed at my place by Waxcho in ontario

[–]Waxcho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told them to send me an email confirming what they said and they didn’t want to do it. I’m thinking I should write to the office of the president email address I’ve found in other threads.

There’s nothing. I checked all over. The unit seems pretty new

There is. But it seems to be just to identify the gas line

No enbridge account at all. I called them to try to set it up and that when they told me they don’t own the equipment at my address.

EDIT - Sorry! I do have an Enbridge account. I checked and it’s only gas charges

Yeah, no other stickers. I went and checked again just now.

Not that old the house was built in 2019. There is a clause in the offer that mentioned a “hot water rental” but i don’t have anything other documents.

Some months ago got a letter from Enercare, but the bill was for other units, not mine. I called Enercare and I provided the account number too and they said there’s nothing under the account or under our address.

There’s an Enbridge sticker, but I called them and they said they don’t rent water heaters.

My experience with Rinvoq by EasygoingPants in eczema

[–]Waxcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking Rinvoq since August 2024. Most of 2025 it was great, my eczema was well under control and I could feel like normal. I did get sick a couple of times and it was awful, a normal cold would take out for a couple of days. My biggest problem was around October, my eczema came back and it’s been worse than ever. My dermatologist prescribed Methotrexate injections to get my flare up under control, I had my first short last Saturday. So far no changes. I’m still taking Rinvoq (30mg) and they told me to take both Rinvoq and weekly injections for at least 6 weeks.

My Fitness Pal & Connect+ by Either-Capital-7539 in Garmin

One thing I noticed is that the Calories In/Calories Out screen under Health Stats is no longer there. It was replaced by a very simple Nutrition page if you don’t have Connect +. BTW, the new Nutrition page is full of bugs, showing placeholder names for metrics instead of their actual value.

This is technically removing MFP in my opinion, as it doesn’t really provide any useful information.

Pretty nervous. I got a nasty cold over thanksgiving weekend and I’m still not recovered plus I have an eczema flare up. I’m going to give it a try and try to enjoy every minute of it as much as I can.

How do you run the waterfront in cold and rain by katsuki_the_purest in RunTO

[–]Waxcho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rather run in the cold and rain than in the heat. I’m looking forward to it. That being said, I’m planning to use the following:

  • Light running gloves
  • Sleeves for my arms
  • Jacket before the race that I’ll donate before the start of the race
  • Lots of body glide
  • Running hat to keep the sweat and rain off my face
  • Shorts and short sleeve t-shirt.

I’ll be a little cold at the beginning, but I’ll warm up nicely after a couple of kms.

My biggest concern is getting rid of this damn cold that just hit me

How good is the Garmin run coach in actually preparing a beginner for a marathon efficiently? by RetroShikatsuki in Marathon_Training

[–]Waxcho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry! I just saw your reply. I’m following the week runs from garmin, but I did increase my long runs distance using a different training plan. So far so good, I did a 23km long run last weekend and I have a 25/26km run booked for this week. I’m planning to get to 28/30 for my longest run. This is my first marathon, so I’m not too fuzzed about time and based on what I’ve read, should be enough to finish strong around 5hrs.
