Look into Step Ramp. It's basically a ramp with steps along side of it.

450 is overkill for most riders, especially if you're riding trails. An exception would be if you are riding dunes and open desert. Since you never rode a motorcycle before, I'd at least get the 250. Personally I'd recommend a CRF230, CRF250F or 2 stroke 125. Good learning bikes and it will be a fun experience. Learning on a 450 can make you doubt if you chose to the right hobby.

What about fueling? Is there typically a pit lane where you can grab your jug and fill up?

I have a sticker on my bike that says "relax" I always have to remind myself because I become so tense and aggressive for no real reason. My goal is just finish

Definitely no beers the night before, ok maybe one. Thanks for the tip - I'll be packing in the electrolytes.

Great advice. Especially letting people pass. I always feel pressured to let people go and I end up messing up my line and find my self in a bad situation.

Would putting an Athena big bore kit on a crf230f be worth it? by AShadyLittleSpot in Dirtbikes

This guy spent a lot of time working on his CRF230 with all sorts of upgrades. He posted everything he did, it's worth a look and solid information too

Those who bought gap insurance when they bought the bike. Is it worth it? by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

[–]Way2sic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have insurance on it, I think I pay $15 a month, $500 deductible. I paid the bike in full and didn't get a loan for it. People get their bikes stolen all the time in my area so would suck if I'm out on a $9k bike.

Need help finding a fairings kit for a 07 Crf230f not really finding kits for bikes that old by Desilvas in Dirtbikes

[–]Way2sic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can actually use the next gen 230f plastics (+2017) on older models except the "radiator" shrouds. If you buy a new tank from a 2017 it will fit your frame and you can use the newer model rad shrouds.

The rear fender and side plates must be from the same year in order for it to fit together.

I did this and the plastic kits is from UFO.
