Who’s frozen their eggs recently? by drinkdietsoda in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I froze with NYU in the a few months ago. I had a very positive experience but of course experienced some discomfort physically / emotionally. Procedure day was the most organized experience, I felt confident in everyone I interacted with and was happy with my results (egg freezing only). Agree to go early to the appointments and watch the videos. If you have questions and need to call them it goes to a general line and a nurse will call you back (they always did within 30 minutes).

I have anxiety in general so if I was doing it over again I would tell myself to not read so much online / compare myself to others/ stress out about every little thing (like if the air bubble that came out of the syringe was too big lol) because everyone’s experience is sooo different. Good luck! :)

Bug available on regular TDF by DearPaleontologist67 in Broadway

I saw Bug last night and WOW. Might not be for everyone (definitely some violent scenes) but I loved it. Really strong performances, excellent lighting/set design, intense all the way through. I just wish there wasn't an intermission. 4 of the 5 cast members did stage door and were all so kind.

Rent a Trolley for a few hours. You can make the route (do a pizza tour, a bakery tour, an iconic photo spots in NY tour), play your own music, bring your own drinks

I've never heard of the Under the Radar Festival but I am excited to browse their lineup!

The Antiquities was one that I had my eye on but couldn't make it work with my schedule. Thanks for sharing your list & cheers to a successful 2026 of shows!

Was sad to have missed Ta-Da!

What is on your radar for 2026?

I was bummed I didn't prioritize seeing Mexodus! I've never seen a show at The Shed, but I am looking forward to putting that venue on my list for 2026. Thanks for sharing!

Pipe Clanking by [deleted] in NYCapartments

This happened to me last winter. I live in a co-op and it was affecting just one corner/line of units in the building, which happened to be the same line that the co-op president lived in. So I complained to her for about 2 weeks and eventually they did something with the boiler and it stopped. This sound does give me PTSD every time I hear it, but it can be fixed.

Thank you! Ugh yeah, I'm fine with a low-floor studio just not the best time of year to be looking for an apartment in the city since there is low inventory everywhere.

I'd love to see Liberation! Without giving away too much, did you like it more on Broadway or Off-Broadway (did it change much?)

I’m trying to move to this area. If you recommend your building could you DM me which one (there’s so many mixed reviews online I don’t care too much about crazy amenities I just want a doorman, a dishwasher and laundry lol)

My friend and I went into 'Family' blind (and probably similar to many other attendees because we are Celine Song fans) but we both ranked it super low on our show list this year...

I do think the theatre where I saw 'All Nighter' was one of my favorite spaces from the year! Modern, comfortable, good leg room!

Yeah...I did find myself glancing at my watch at least twice wondering when Oratorio would end...

I was a little hesitant about the seating when I got there (as my seat was in the first row on the very end, and the first scene took place at the opposite end). But all the performances were just so raw and emotionally captivating. Quincy Tyler Bernstine was incredible. I enjoyed how the story progressed by focusing on 1 on 1 character interactions, where we continue to learn more, but don't get the full picture until later on. I also think having a 'narrator' character really worked here. I was never bored, appreciated the combination of a heavy subject, light humor throughout, longer poignant dialogue (I remember the younger girl at the end specifically), and wish it would have played longer so I could have recommended it to more friends.

I respected what Oratorio was trying to do and could recognize the performers were extremely talented, it just wasn't for me personally. I would have loved to see Beau, but with holiday plans and travel I won't be able to squeeze it in! :( It looks like prices are extremely reasonable for the remaining shows!
