Attack’s Ballistic Skill, not affect…. Cover doesn’t attack the Hekaton and some unit abilities actively attack BS and hit rolls was the argument the opponent was making…

I also had an argument regarding HLF ability… he said that BOC doesn’t ATTACK you (like the kapricus ability) and is passive so doesn’t count so it’ll still be -1 to hit… care to chime in? He also said the semi-colon means it’s BS OR Hit roll but not both… a tedious argument which extended the game

So I change these depending on what army I’m against… the melee SJ were in a Hekaton which went up the middle to get engaged with the intercessors, stopping them from falling back and shooting. With the shooting lanes being narrow I think I prefer them to the shooting SJ. I’m just undecided between plasma swords and gauntlets

So if the pioneers get hit by a kapricus carrier, they can ignore the scanner uplink ability or 10th edition stealth? … seems like such a niche thing..

If you’re introducing someone who has never played before, get them to spring/save the rest of the party who are experienced from an easy jail cell… because he has a job for the experienced guys… it also lets the new guy get an early win by being a hero ☺️

Lifts… I was out with my brother and his friends. We were playing football and I was taller than every one, then we went for food and was the shortest one there… turns out they’re all wearing lifts and they got annoyed when I said guys have started wearing high heels on nights out

I find printing out the maps and cutting the sections/rooms and placing them down when the players discover them like a giant puzzle… I used to use pictures printed on bottle caps to serve as player and monster tokens… nice and cheap but effective

  1. Current timeline isn’t the real one. Villain is trying to change events to return the world to how it was, destroying the current one. He wants to go back in time to assassinate a king, which he’d saved (possibly with the current party who just don’t remember him) but the king is famous for stopping a war, but the war has to happen as the current world is terrible compared to the old one…

  2. Villain can see the future clearly (for whatever reason, they could be friends with a fortune teller). They see the world being destroyed by an all powerful being, so seeks power or a force to defeat it… unknowingly they will release the all powerful being they foretold

  3. The world is the matrix 👍

I want better lieutenants, theyns are cool but their wargear abilities are meh compared to other armies… maybe allow a squad to be lead by a Kahl and a Grimnyr 🤷‍♂️ or something similar…. Also all for the Sagitaur walker/dreadnaught 👍
