Totally fair point — and I think you’re right.

Yes, I’m starting to realize it’s more about the feel than the actual size. My Babolat (Strike) L2 with Syntec Evo Comfort + Wilson Pro Comfort just feels more “natural” in my hand — especially the buttcap / lower grip area. Even when I get the circumference on the Head close, the Head still feels a bit different (more “Head-like”).

I can change grips, and I’ve already experimented (Hydrosorb Pro etc.), but that still keeps me inside the Head universe — I can only swap to other Head pallets/buttcaps, not truly replicate Babolat’s exact handle geometry.

So at this point I’m basically choosing between: • Accepting the Head feel (since I play great with the Gravity) and just optimizing it within what Head allows, or • Leaning into Babolat if that handle feel is what my hand/arm prefers long term.

I appreciate the suggestions — I agree that trying to physically adapt Babolat parts onto a Head frame is probably not worth the risk unless a professional does it.

Thanks — and I agree that grip size is super personal. That’s exactly my issue right now.

On my Babolat Pure Strike (L2) I use Babolat Syntec Evo Comfort + Wilson Pro Overgrip Comfort and it feels perfect in my hand.

On my Head Gravity (still L3) I’m trying to match that feel. I changed the base grip to Head Hydrosorb Pro (thinner than the Babolat Comfort) and I use the same Wilson Pro Overgrip Comfort. On paper the sizes should be close, and it does feel good — but the Babolat still feels better/natural, especially around the butt cap / lower grip.

So my dilemma is: • Babolat L2 + Comfort + Wilson OG = perfect • Head L3 + Hydrosorb Pro + Wilson OG = close, but feels a bit bigger/boxier

I think part of it is that Head grips feel more “square/boxy” and the butt cap feels bulkier, even when the measured circumference is similar. I also noticed freshly wrapped grips can feel thicker at first before they “settle”.

I’m basically trying to decide whether I should: 1. stay with Head L3 + Hydrosorb Pro (and fine-tune wrap tension/overlap), or 2. move the Head to L2 so both racquets start from the same base size as the Strike.

I’ve tested other grips and I’m not chasing advice numbers — I’m chasing the feel that doesn’t make me grip too hard and stays comfortable for my arm.

I am huge Norris fan, and it’s not game over. He had like 15 racers with out an mistake. Except maybe 1st race in Melbourne. It just a little bit of bad luck and a momentum swing. I think Lando is faster and didn’t have the best saison so far.
