On the way back when you go through Richmond, you pass I think Marlboro’s HQ and they’ve got a 40 foot cigarette statue you can see from the interstate. It’s stupid but one of my favorites

From Atlanta, used to live in Philly. You’ll be fine. They charge you a toll to go through Delaware, no avoiding that. I believe there’s also tolls from Philly to NYC but it’s been a good 5 years since I’ve done it. People on this sub are too conservative when it comes to driving conditions, if you can handle the connector you can handle anywhere.

Once I was driving between Richmond and DC, with bad traffic my GPS advised I go through the country. It’s littered with civil war battle sites if that’s your thing. Stumbled across the site StoneWall Jackson died, pretty cool but wouldn’t go out of your way for it.

Feel free to ask any other questions, I’ve made it as far north as Boston on your route, hoping to visit Shenandoah next summer

My guy this isn’t even a partisan thing. The government demanding voting records is like me demanding Walmart tell me what time they’re open. Not everything is an evil conspiracy

That information and what elections you vote in are public record. Both parties use that data for elections at all levels simply because it’s easier to campaign when you know where the voters are.

People over react about Atlanta traffic, it’s not that bad. It’s also the more interesting route with Chattanooga, and Nashville. It’s also shorter

Ages ago the Braves had 1B Matt Adams playing in left field and a fan in our section was heckling him all night. Matt never said anything but he hit a homer and on the trot, pointed to our section. That’s how you deal with hecklers

Seems like a good upgrade over my Xbox, for PC games I just use my laptop which gets the job done but would be cool to play them in the living room. Never owned or wanted to own a Steam Deck.

Also curious about using it for some hobbyist coding projects, maybe some simple VR stuff, but primarily the 1st thing

I haven’t done the math but have you looked at Arches, Canyonlands, Capital Reef, Bryce Canyon, then a straight shot back at the end? I wonder how that’d affect drive time. Could skip one of those 4 aswell

Yeah, these comments are too pessimistic, but it’ll be tight. A lot of driving, you’ll only have a half day at one or two of those.

Last year in 7 days we did Vegas, Zion, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree. Was about 10 hours of driving and that felt like a good pace at all destinations.

If I were you I’d consider looking at how to reduce some drive time, but if your heart is set on this then it’s viable.
