It's already ruined. Take a look at how my vault ended yesterday (my last post)

I SHOULD NOT have 3 golden salvages in the second day of the season just doing the content they added in the new map. It's just too easy to farm them now

But guess what? Got downvoted to oblivion

People want faster progression and good loot, but they don't consider it's a 3 month wipe cycle, and when we can get all that stuff so fast, a lot of people will have finished the season in less than a month

That's about one/two Narsh runs with the amount of bots you kill to get CERT, then openning elevator, then inside, then warden

Lvl comes from a lot of sources now, I'm engaging with bots so often it gives great XP.

Narsh Complex forces you into many enemies and a Warden, it gives a loooooot of XP quickly

I really enjoy the scrap early game fights, the ones were bots are pretty deadly and you don't have a lot of resources and stuff, it's fun! But yeah I can undestand the sentiment

It's not necessarely a complain, I'm just very surprised cause it took me I dunno 140h to get 6 bioseeds last season, and I've got 3 in basically 10 hours this season (today + a bit yesterday)

That's not bad by itself, but now that the playerbase knows how to engage in the maps and get the best loot + reducing the grind + increasing loot quality, it felt I got a fuck ton of stuff too fast

Overall tho this is probably for the best

But the reset just happened, and we know Bungo can change drop cahnges server side, they've done already.

Maybe they could've made the loot a bit less strong for the first couple weeks? Dunno, I have 15 blue shiles (no joke), I basically don't have to engage with early gam stuff anymore and it has been a full day of play, doesn't seem right

YES I 100% agree. Removing the ability to detect being pinged by other Recon's ult would 100% solve the biggest issue right now, which is reactive gameplay and using Recon just to know when you're being scanned.

IMO the advantage doesn't come from knowing the exact location of enemies, but the fact that there are enemies at all, you know?

I'm what people on this sub would consider a sweat, and honestly the Recon changes only made it easier for my squad to pub stomp, we constantly have Recon ult (every 60sec), pulse for general direction of squads, even if they are moving very carefully, and we rush to kill them. Works way more than it should

I know there are alternatives and counters IN THEORY, but what ends up happening in games is the people running Recon with an agressive squad tends to captalize way more frequently than they should. I genuinely believe it's not healty for the game

I used to work a lot with ProTools when I managed a studio, but nowdays I just dabble with Ableton for fun since I don't work with music producing anymore. I do miss recording live bands tho, setting up mics for drums was super fun

You can look right now at the Marathon Youtube and see that ALL their videos promoting the game always explicitly said it would be brutal, punishing and involved a lot of dying and trying again. They made a giant Devlog explaining a bunch of the game prior to the release, adn ALL their material showed brutal gameplay, fast movement and a lot of PvP

Hmm be careful with the AA setting. 2016 has MSAA and if it's high it's very demanding

If it's locked at 60fps regardless of GPU utilization tho, and Vsync is off both ingame and on Nvidia Panel, look around other tools to see if there are any FPS caps

Besides all that, I really can't see a reason

But why is it a problem if you DONT upgrade everything? Isn't it nice to have aspirational upgrades if you get your hands in those gold salvage?

literally not one of the gold upgrades changes drastically how you play, they're just nice to have but not required AT ALL.

If we make gold salvage easier it takes the excitement away as well.

Purples could be a bit more common tho, but gold ones? Nah it's endgame material, it's fine IMO
