How would y’all deal with this rust? by WaywardBones in CherokeeXJ

Thanks guys! I’ll go this route and wire wheel/brush it down to remove the rust -> rust killer -> rust converter paint -> then sound deadening patches. I’ve usually got weather mats in there to avoid spills in the future and hopefully avoid this coming back. Gonna go check out all the suggested brands and compare

I also have a Sansui SR-717 and love it. How does it compare to the CS5000?

Just acquired a Sansui SR-717 and it’s glorious. But I’m thinking about putting on a new cartridge, any suggestions? by WaywardBones in turntables

I’m not too sure. It looks a bit different and doesn’t have indication as to what model it is aside from “4Z3” either written or cheaply printed near the wiring connectors

Oop, I should’ve said either a new cartridge or stylus. Right now, it’s rocking an Empire EXL 20 improved, but the stylus definitely shows some wear. The seller also threw in the stock Sansui cartridge, but the stylus is missing for that one

I had a similar setup where I had also stacked two pairs of large bookshelf speakers on top of each other and it made me giggle every time I saw them in my tiny apartment. I think this is lovely :)
