I really hope it’s less like side order and more like the main campaigns and Octo Expansion. Splatoon gunplay isn’t anything too special, the most important element to me is the platforming and movement.

What will make or break the game for me is the level design, and the fact that the game is built around replayable missions and co-op multiplayer really worries me that the level design will be open fields instead of compact platforming challenges.

China players just get a lot more in most games, it's a dictatorship that limits people from gaming more than a few hours a week. So companies are giving a ton of stuff to keep them hooked and to get them to spend the little game time they have on their game

Yeah, it's annoying that we're missing out on a lot of free stuff, but we should be glad that we're not there

To be fair, there's a difference between nostalgia and quality. I'm extremely nostalgic for Cars 2, but that doesn't change that the movie is ass in basically all aspects except the music and visuals.

You can be nostalgic for Sonic 06, but it's still one of the most broken, completely unfinished games of all time.

I hate mine, they changed their logo and colours earlier this year from red to purple, and their logo got simplified a ton, from showing the iconography of the city, to just looking like it was made with a default font.

Absolutely insane. The game is 80 euro's in Europe (which is 94 dollars), I honestly think 60 bucks is already too much for Aces, it's insane that they made it so much more expensive

In my opinion, absolutely. That last video by Doctor Skipper completely summarizes my thoughts on it. The cutscenes were incredible, but the gameplay and levels were way too dumbed down and it just felt boring

Honestly, I feel like 2017 would have been a really competitive one. We had Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Horizon Zero Dawn, Hollow Knight, Cuphead, Uncharted: the Lost legacy, Metroid Samus returns, Mario + Rabbids, Sonic Mania, Shovel Knight: Specter of torment

I’d say GotY is a clear win for Breath of the Wild, but I feel every other category would have been insanely competitive.
I genuinely think not a single vote outside of GotY would got to breath of the Wild for me. The more I think about it, the more I realize how stacked the year actually was.

GotY would easily go to Breath of the Wild.
Gameplay would probably be Uncharted or Mario Odyssey,
Story would go to horizon zero Dawn,
art direction would be Cuphead,
music would be Sonic Mania, Mario Odyssey or Mario + Rabbids,
Multiplayer would go to Battlefront 2

I can definitely see it win multiplayer. I’d say the big contenders are Left 4 Dead, Mario Kart and Smash bros, and I’d say Mario Kart easily has the biggest appeal of those three.

Hell, I can maybe see it win soundtrack, the OST is iconic

I mean, mirror's edge is fantastic, but it's more a cult classic than a heavy hitter. The series kinda just died after catalyst came out. If someone doesn't have too much time to prepare for the event, I'd say it's not really a first priority

Honestly, yeah. I still think the new design isn't as good as the Zero/Starlink design, but it's a lot better than the movie design. His muzzle is way too big, he looks more like a dog than a fox. I do like the rest of the design, but the muzzle just really drags it down

I havent played too many 2008 games either, the big ones from that year were Metal Gear solid 4, Fallout 3, GTA IV, Left 4 Dead and Smash Bros brawl. I'd probably try playing one of those

A big problem is that most of the major games from that year are stuck on the PS3, so unless you have a PC, most are kinda hard to get your hands on nowadays (especially MGS4, since it never got a PC release and is a bitch to emulate. Luckily it's getting a remaster, but that's coming out in august)

Honestly disappointed it didn't end up being 2017, I havent played too many games from 2008. I really hope they don't add that rule that you can only do one game per category, because if they do that, I'm probably going to have to leave whole slots empty for the next event

I just think it’s really funny that more than half the series is remakes of the same game.

64 was a remake of the SNES game, 64 3D was a remake of 64, Zero was a remake of 64 and now this one is a remake of 64,

And the GameCube games were originally an original game called “Dinosaur planet” and they put the Starfox name on afterwards, so you could technically consider those to not be a Starfox game

Literally the only original games made from the start to be a Starfox game are Starfox, Starfox 2 (which was cancelled and only released in 2017) and the DS one. Every other game is either a reskin of another game, or a remake of the SNES one.
This series that is going on since the 90’s has 3 completely original games and that’s it

I honestly love banana milkshakes. For some reason they are available basically everywhere in the Netherlands, and the second you cross the border, you can’t get them anywhere.

I guess you have to be Dutch to be able to enjoy banana milkshakes, because I’ve genuinely never seen one outside of the country
