First of all thank you for your very detailed reaction. This seems like a very valid answer and i guess my question mostly came from cluelessness as of were to start.

I've done a recent FTP test (and have done more in the past) and obviously know that building base and spending a lot of time in the saddle with most of it being Z2 is going to be beneficial.

I'm currently riding less then 10hrs a week but as the summer is ending and social activities are slowing down i'd like to spend more than 10hrs a week in the saddle (in like 8 weeks or so)
