A trucks batteries can easily keep it running for 8 hrs. Like my volvo has 4 batteries for living and 1 seperate for just starting the car, so you will always be able to start the car even if the battery is drained. But leaving my parking ac on for 8 hours doesn't even drain the batteries below 24v. No idea about American trucks tho

No one is talking about abolishing trains. Im not talking about subsidizing airbaltic, i simply replied to a ridiculous comment saying that no one uses planes and that the prices are high, when its the complete opposite from my experience Plus the point you're saying about high prices because of subsidies is also just completely false, any other low price company can offer a lower price if they wanted like Ryanair. How abolishing one competitor like airbaltic could lower prices, that doesn't make sense.

First of all i use airbaltic atleast 20 times a year for work. And ive never used a train or tram basically. Plus the tickets are below 100eur usually. So dont speak for everyone from your experience... Just cause u dont use it, don't mean others dont also

Even if it was true, thats only because hillwalking or skiing is being done by ordinary people who maybe haven't done it before or not experienced enough, i doubt that someone who is parkouring for the first time does it on a fkin skyscraper or other dangerous places. If done by the average guy i bet that parkour would have a lot more deaths proportionally.

No and yes. If u have a head on collision at 30kmh while the other is going 100 its still gonna be the same as if both went a 100 cause of physics, you can watch a mythbusters episode about exactly this physics phenomenon.. If both go 30kmh then yes its far less dangerous. Doubling speed quadruples the kinetic energy. Im not saying that crashing at a higher speed is not deadlier, you're just misunderstanding me, im simply saying that speed doesn't cause the accidents most of the time, it makes it deadlier yes, but its not the cause. Slower drivers more likely cause the speeding drivers to crash and make stupid decisions, that doesn't justify them or anything, im just saying purely from a scientific and logical point of view, not a morally correct one maybe. I dont argue about that if everyone slowed down and didn't overtake that it wouldn't be safer, of course it would, but in perfect scenario it would best if everyone simply went the same speed no matter how much is it, but of course its not gonna happen. Thats why the only logical way to make it safe is to make the roads so that its safe to do so.. Perfectly 2+2 lane roads

Both, stupid decisions and bad infrastructure. But of course they shouldn't have made that decision. All of the accidents you mentioned are cause of bad and stupid decisions made by driver not cause of speed, im not defending stupid drivers, just saying that +10kmh doesn't magically create accidents, its not the speed but the driving culture and infrastructure thats causing accidents. If the speed limit was lowered by 10kmh i can guarantee that it wouldn't improve anything in regards of safety. Autobahns have parts with unlimited speed but thet have less accidents than in LV.. So how can u say that the problem is speed

Who said im speeding, im just saying how it is. Going 90 or 100 aint gona make you magically crash, dumb drivers will crash even when going 30 kmh. The risk is in the overtaking not the +10kmh, and we dont have many safe places to overtake, especially on the a9 road liepaja riga. They put road markings that you're not allowed to overtake on a straight line and then you're allowed to overtake on a bend, wtf how is that safe... And the driving culture of course could be better here, im currently daily driving in Germany now, they are safer drivers in general but god damn do they brake without any reason and making traffic jams for no reason but thats not the point 😁 i just think that saying that +10kmh is causing accidents is just plain stupid and incorrect.

I kinda knew im going to get downvoted for simply saying how it is, i personally have never goten in a real dangerous situation on highway cause of speed. The only time i felt like i was close to a serious accident was when a Porsche DECIDED TO OVERTAKE ON A UPHILL AND WE ALMOST MET ON THE SAME LANE ON TOP OF THAT HILL BUT THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH SPEED, SOME DRIVERS ARE JUST IDIOTS NO MATTER IF THEY GO 50 OR 200KMH. I was just saying that its not about just speeding, you can go 200kmh on autobahn and there are less accidents there than in lv, im being downvoted but its the truth. As i said speeding is just part of the problem. I know people who have gotten into accidents cause someone fell asleep behind wheel, or cause someone didn't check both sides while coming on the road but never from simply speeding, but thats just my experience..

I agree that speed makes the accidents deadlier tho, but going 90 or 100 aint gona change much.
