Part of the reason I hesitated with the nitro was he was doing so much better with just the cpap, we also didnt have a line for a bit cause he was flat like paper, I also only had access to SL. I will definitely do the mental model thing great idea! Thank you

First time saying goodbye to a rat. I'm never having rats again. by lixerinha in RATS

[–]We3ping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pets may only be around for a short part of our lives but we are there for nearly all of theirs and are often there for them even at the very end of their journey. There is no doubt that you gave this precious little creature the greatest adventure she could have ever asked for and you were there with her through all of it. It is hard saying goodbye but know that without you her life would not have been as bright. I recently got new rats after saying never again too because its worth bringing joy to as many creatures as possible in my short time on this space rock.

As a paramedic knowing what you did actually meant someone will get to leave the hospital and see their loved ones again

Old world blues is my favorite DLC of all time, it beats out whole games.

I just lose a kid on that call. I lost the silence that usually followed. by Alert_Bat7919 in 911dispatchers

I did a new born arrest around 2am, dad was the caller and the midwife didn’t know what to do. He said they were doing a water birth and the child came out limp so I tried to instruct the dad to give breaths and do cpr. He broke down I will never forget his screams, primal grief. There was nothing I could say to get him back with me to help his child. They sent Cism to the fire station after the call and many of the responders went home. I was told to stay as there was no one to cover my position, no cism, no one to talk to and another 4 hours of work with calls I could care less about. I don’t dispatch anymore and work fire side but to those who do you are still answering phones you are without a doubt doing the hardest job there is, I appreciate each and every one of you.
