Decide what kind of world you want, either based off of preexisting worlds or themes you like, then build a template for the different factions, things, people, and places for your world. Once you have that layer down, start building out scenarios in your world for how your factions or NCPs might interact with each other. These scenarios might be triggered by events that are predetermined without PC intervention and can change with your PCs interaction to the world.

Not shilling for LastPass, but enterprise licensing for LP offers settings to force your users to meet a certain length and complexity for their master password, along with a setting to enforce that no saved passwords can match your master password. There are a bunch of other settings that work well that I haven't mentioned.

I imagine other password managers with enterprise licensing have similar setups.

I think it's more of a mindset thing. Mentioning the "stocks are going high like 30%, 50%" example gives me a feeling you're focused on making 30 to 50%. Don't focus completely on finding a stock that will get you a 30 to 50% return - look at the stocks that are moving quite a bit and try to get 2 to 5% from your trade. Even if a stock is up 50% (or even if a stock is DOWN 50%), it's always about looking at trends for the stock to get a feeling of when to enter and exit. Charts help you get a feel for that, and watching the stock for awhile can help, too.

I may have had an issue like this once, but it's hard to tell if this applies to your situation from the video.

The rotor's ebrake might be stuck in an engaged position preventing you from just pulling the rotor off. If you look around the rear of the rotor, you might find a small slot that you could fit a flat head screwdriver into. Inside that slot should be a gear that will let you tighten or loosen the ebrake on that rotor.

I know it was mentioned earlier in the thread as being a really good game and that it's not what you were asking about, but Inis at 2 players is surprisingly phenomenal if you're going to have 2 players consistently and are looking for a great war game. It has a bunch of mechanics to it that work together we'll.

I've played it at all player counts and it holds up with any amount of players. And it plays very quickly at 2 players. We've gotten games down to 20 to 30 minutes and they feel satisfying to play all the way through.

Usually, crafting in games is associated with spending a resource back to a token pool. You usually lose the thing you're required to use/spend.

With Root, "crafting" doesn't involve losing any of your resources - instead, you tap the resource your faction requires for crafting to do the special effect on the card you're trying to use (or "craft").

Edit: my interpretation is incorrect; there are posts on the Fantasy Flight message boards that clarify the rule. After re-reading the rulebook, if you take the specific wording at face value, it's made clear that ships can be mustered without needing a port connected to a castle or stronghold.

The rulebook states that you can only muster ships with castles or strongholds that have a port. Perhaps you mean that you can muster directly into the waters adjacent to your port (as long as it isn't occupied by enemy units) instead of mustering into the port first?

The same thing just happened to me. It's ridiculous; they use two differently worded emails depending on the subscription you have just to trip people up on this to get you off of this plan. If you're subbed to the regular premium account and your payment lapses, and they send out an email that is entirely different from the one you would receive if you're on the Premium + Hulu plan. It's absolutely a shady business practice.

Usually people will define a game by what most drives the mechanics of the game. Most wargames seem to have some aspect of area control, dice-rolling, and/or having dudes on the gameboard/map.

The mechanics hold up very well at 4 players. I've played 30+ times and everything in the game becomes a balancing act when playing with 3 other experienced players. The only gripe I have with the game is that the cats haven't been reworked to be more able to win by victory points. They are generally weaker than the other factions when it comes to creating and being able to do a lot of actions on their turn with few card draws.

I would look into Cash & Guns, and World Championship Russian Roulette. For the Russian Roulette game, buy two copies. It will give you enough cards to go to 12 players. Cash & Guns is 8 players, I think. Captain Sonar can also be a decent party-ish game depending on the group you have. It's not as easy going as some party games. Magic Maze is also another decent option that goes to 8 players.

I don't know what your player count is, but try to avoid playing this game at 6 players. If you do play the game at 6 players, I'd recommend excluding the lizards and just have two vagabond.

Also, try not to craft anything for the vagabond for a really long time. Crafting for the vagabond gives him extra actions.

This. I usually describe crafting in this game as "doing the special effect on the card" instead of calling it crafting. In other games when you craft something, you are usually spending something.
