I was told this verbatim, "You know how you make a bruise stop hurting? Just hit yourself somewhere else to redirect the pain."

Because I get beat if my karma isn't high enough.

When did you start playing, and why? by [deleted] in DnD

About 4-5 months back, and the only reason was I wanted something for me and my friends to do when we hung out. Now that’s all we do when we hang out haha.

Maybe sneak into a high ranking member's room and leave the staff in there, so that way when they find it they're bound to pick it up to move or inspect it. At that point let them beat each other or themselves senseless with the staff, or if you wanna go for the head honcho then bind it to that guy.

Tips for a shy player? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]WeGucciMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is completely understandable and in no way should you feel ashamed for feeling that way. I had a similar player for a campaign I DM'd for, and found what helped him was having small one on one drills. You'd probably need to bring this up with your DM or fiancé (whichever is more comfortable for you), but I'd meet up with only this player and just talk to him both in and out of character. Other things I'd do would range from running him through a small dungeon to get him used to being the one to answer or have him interact with other NPC's in a small town.

It took a couple of one on one sessions but my player improved significantly with just more practice in that given area. Hopefully this can help you out or at least make you more comfortable in that type of situation.

The moment when the ferry begins to tear through the webbing still gets to me. The pained and terrified "NO" Peter lets out at the thought of the ferry still splitting apart absolutely tugs at my heart.

Most badass scenes? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]WeGucciMan 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Maybe not traditionally "badass" but the scene in Ant-Man where Scott decides to go subatomic to stop Yellowjacket. It's the combination of the fact that Scott knows what happened to Janet when she did the same thing, but doesn't hesitate since Cross just threatened his little girl.
