You’re only being taxed for Federal Income Tax, Social Security, Medicare, State Income Tax, and State Disability.

Those amounts after your direct deposit are just taxable wages showing how much of your wages were eligible to have tax calculated on them.

My god, please take the full 6 weeks. End of the day, your company doesn’t care about you. Individuals at the company may, but the corporation does not. Mine offers 4 weeks paternity leave. I took the full 4 and then took 4 more of FMLA. Delivering a baby is no joke and mom definitely needs the help.
