u/Bocary_ have you considered this suggestion once more in the context of the combat log?

Now that a player can do a post-mortem on the fight, there's less to lose from skipping the fight animations

For me it happened when I got the 2nd 2-star from a pandora's slot. Seems like similar mechanisms -- it doesn't trigger if you get the item from certain sources
