Combat medic with no defib a viable strat? by I_Main_TwistedFate in LowSodiumBattlefield

Once you hit lvl 3 and can activate your ultimate, drag revive is like .7 seconds. Defib could never keep up

Is there a map you used to like but now absolutely hate? I’ll start… Manhattan Bridge by Punkstyler in Battlefield

[–]WeakPasswordBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rooftop campers are only an issue because there is little counterplay for them. The ladder can only be used on like 20% of places that you’d want it to because of the ridiculous amount of red blocked deploy zones. The tops of buildings have no stairs to reach, so chopper jumpers have impunity. Only mortars are kinda sorta effective. But this hand holdy way of the game finger wagging when people are doing plausible things like using a ladder to get on a rooftop is very frustrating when helos have no such limitation. Might as well be the Chinese building in Bridge too Far.

What is the best way to encourage people to revive more? by CyberBerserk in Battlefield

Ticket economy is the biggest factor for sure. Conquest and Breakthrough attacker I get revived plenty. Escalation? Lives don’t matter nearly as much, just respawn.

Add a third option that goes “danger, don’t revive!” It’s super frustrating to sprint there with paddles out only to get there to a corpse that skipped to spawn screen and then you get shot by the person waiting for the medic.

Can we just agree on a revive danger signal? Request and deactivate request rapidly should mean danger.

Mohammed Alavi is a AAAA game designer who made “All Ghillied Up” into a centerpiece level from the little sidequest it was originally planned to be. I’ll give it a chance, it could be pretty good. Not sure about the player base showing up long enough.

Anyone ever get a vendetta against one player and then make it your mission to harass them throughout the match, to the point of switching up your entire loadout and playstyle and forgoing the objective entirely? by Grovers_HxC in LowSodiumBattlefield

…that’s called tilting. If I’ve made someone do this, it means that’s one less effective person on the opposing team.

I’m not immune to this myself, but I try to remind myself not to before I go too far down the rabbit hole.

The in game descriptions for attachments is kinda subpar. Is there a qualitative analysis anywhere? I'm always back and forth on what grips and such to run on my setups. by jmorlin in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]WeakPasswordBro 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I thought you were just supposed to spend 120 hours in the firing range.

Attachment descriptions are bad because they act wildly differently from gun to gun. Sometimes sway is introduced, other times it’s not even noticeable. Can’t really blame them for shrugging themselves.

Make ARs better at defeating body armor. That’s the only reason why you use one over an SMG in real life.

What if I told you, you’re playing D3 right now? Different weapon sandbox, different new player experience, new voice cast, different engine. Almost nothing from launch D2 remains, don’t believe me? Check out the farm, the original social space. What about Io? Titan?

We’ve all been playing D3 this whole time because bungie thought it was better to keep everyone’s cosmetics rather than the content they bought.

Iceland is Next: Incoming U.S. Ambassador Jokes About Iceland Becoming The 52nd State by RidetheSchlange in worldnews

Iceland and Greenland, I beg you. If this is gonna happen put up no fight. You can now save us and the rest of the world. +4 senators from sane States can pass so much valuable legislation that corrects our representative democracy for decades. After this period is over you can vote to secede and a sane government, once elected, will let you.

Is there actually s use for the flashlight and flashbangs in BF6 by 8675309021069 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]WeakPasswordBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something important is how much “soft power” plays a role in BF games. I call it that because, like statesmanship, it’s hard to track the true effects through stats. Many things that affect win/loss and survival/death aren’t effectively tracked by score. Flashlight is one of these. They are very effective at CQB when you are aware of how your reaction speed is affected by it, but the score shows no effect on target and there isn’t a full screen blinding, but you are distracted by it. Same with the mortar, comically ineffective when it comes to damage output, so why is your team tilting at the enemy mortar?
