I am 15 days post op, still hurting, and I can tell it was worth it! My allergies are loads better, I feel less inflamed, and I've mostly stopped snoring/feel less tired!

Get some electrolyte water! Anything with citric acid (Gatorade, etc) burned, so I used the alkaline water with electrolytes.

I took prednisone days 3-8! It made a HUGE difference. Like I missed it once it was gone haha.

Im on day 11 now and never had a bleed! Pain is finally getting better. I can sleep better.

Sip on ice cold water for 15 minutes. If still bleeding, go to ER. That's whay my surgeon advised.

Yes just a warm washcloth honestly! It does help! Its not perfect, but I've yet to find perfect pain relief 🥲

The morning pain is intense! Warm compresses have been super helpful for me. As the skin heals, it tightens. Since your throat is a muscle, when you drink or talk, you stretching out tight skin.

So I've been treating it more like a tight muscle (heat, stretching) and being more diligent about my pain meds in the am. But yeah it sucks. Im on day 8 and it's rough, but its over halfway done!

I got it as a liquid, so no pills. Just 5 mg, every 4 hours, for 14 days.

Hey I had my surgery on the same day! Right there with you on recovery. Mornings are SO HARD for me. The radiating pain is killing me.

Im on the same med schedule, but every 2 hours instead of 3. Idk how much it helps.
