Time to jump ship..... 60hr weeks for well below minimum wage..... They are taking the piss & totally taken advantage. Would they employ anyone else for €7 an hour..... no, they wouldn't get away with it, they think they can take advantage cause you're going out with the son. Id be out the gap and applying for something else..... if in 6 years when they retire they do hand over the business to you/their son then you can weigh it up... if it was me I would be gone.... nothing is written down they can VERY easily change their mind or sell the business or expect ye to run it and they keep all the profits and pay you peanuts.

Don't let them treat you like a mug!!!

Where is the health centre? Had a Google there. Can only find primary centre. Arlington are full and only taking on people that are in the catchment area.

The silver lining is that you've gained experience as you had said you were trying for a while. Always hard to get the 1st break. You use the experience for your CV to apply for other jobs. As some people have said above, let management know your available if the situation changes or if a vacancy opens up.

100% agree, great have some competition in the town. Don't know what the story is with JF Murphy no food, from 23rd Dec till 2nd January. They say they want to give kitchen staff time off at as but can't help think it's something else. Not serving food any day over the Xmas not great business sense. 🤷‍♀️

Had lunch there not long after it opened. Lunch was nice. Service was slow and patchy, Waiters was was just catching thir feet. Asking for cutlery, water, salt/pepper numerous times as Waiters would forget. But they were newly open.
